Good, decent people.<br />I always admired the Tarahumara, since I heard of their running endurnce as a young teenager. I've just got to do the best I can from where I am, which is an advantage today, but I've got to prepare for disadvantages down the road.<br />"Invest in the future" is a serious concept, and it's not about profit, but survival.John Dayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12123174297818737132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4275885258914846834.post-67210209081980556162020-12-03T09:25:41.827-06:002020-12-03T09:25:41.827-06:00A comment relating to your recurrent topic of food...A comment relating to your recurrent topic of food self sufficiency. Just got back from a tour of the Chihuahua desert and encountered two groups of farmers who combine cultural bonds that top state allegiance with a farming life style, the Mennonites and the Tarahumara. Both communities have language and religion as well as dress different from the larger Mexican community. The Mennonites have embraced western technology. The Tarahumara have not. In any case, it seems to me that should the larger enveloping state economy collapse, their local community structure will continue to support them.Wolfgang Brinckhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08314364206955412017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4275885258914846834.post-805384742605187832020-12-02T20:38:41.120-06:002020-12-02T20:38:41.120-06:00Thanks Brother John!
