Divergent World War Plans

 Resisting Evil,

September 11 in the Middle East! , by Manlio Dinucci    Thanks Eleni.
The official version of the Hamas attack on Israel is preposterous. According to CNN, Hamas was able to train for a year and a half in six military camps inside the Gaza Strip. Rumors about this preparation had been circulating in Lebanon since May. It gave rise to a deadly battle between Palestinian factions in September in Saida. On 30 September,   Egyptian Intelligence Minister Kamel Abbas personally called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to warn him. An Israeli private security company took over the Shabak in the ensuing days.
The Mossad was also tipped off by the CIA on 5 October. It is therefore impossible for Israel to have been surprised. In addition, as Manlio Dinucci points out, routine security procedures were suspended. And it took the army 5 hours to intervene.
So the question is, why did Benjamin Netanyahu allow 1,300 of his fellow citizens to die?...
..How is it possible that Mossad, considered one of the most efficient Secret Services in the world, did not realize that Hamas was preparing its attack?
The essential answers come from an article, published on October 8 by the Israeli newspaper The Times of Israel:
“For years, the various governments led by Benjamin Netanyahu have adopted a policy that has divided the Gaza Strip and the West Bank between two different powers, bringing Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to his knees and favouring Hamas.
Hamas was treated as a partner to the detriment of the Palestinian Authority to prevent Abbas from moving towards creating a Palestinian State. Hamas was promoted from a terrorist group to an organization with which Israel conducted negotiations through Egypt, and which was allowed to receive suitcases containing millions of dollars from Qatar through the Gaza crossings.”

What really happened on 7th October?
Evidence is now emerging that up to half the Israelis killed were combatants; that Israeli forces were responsible for some of their own civilian deaths; and that Tel Aviv disseminated false ‘Hamas atrocities’ stories to justify its devastating air assault on Palestinian civilians in Gaza.

Scott Ritter: Israel Failing in Global PR Campaign to Demonize Hamas
“The last thing he needs or wants or desires is [for] people to honestly reflect on it. Because something horrible happened on October 7, I think we are all in agreement about that. Whether you believe that Hamas had a right to rise up and attack Israeli military targets, that's a separate debate. I happen to believe they should be able to do that. But there's no carte blanche ever for anybody to kill innocent civilians, and a lot of innocent Israeli civilians were killed. And I think it's imperative that Israel, like the United States after 9/11, instead of saying ‘we must exact our revenge’, to sit there and say, ‘how did this happen? Why did this happen and how can we prevent it from happening again?’ But in order to answer that question, you have to define the problem. Israel doesn't want to have that discussion, Netanyahu doesn't want to have that discussion, because the answer is: he is the problem. The right-wing policies of Israel is the problem. Zionism might be the problem.”

UNRWA Situation Report #13 on the situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem (all information valid as of 23 October 2023 at 6 p.m)
The Gaza Strip:
Nearly 600,000 internally displaced people are sheltering in 150 UNRWA facilities....
Only in the Middle areas, Khan Younis and Rafah, nearly 430,000 IDPs are in 93 UNRWA shelters. This is an increase of 10,000 people only in the past 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, 5,087 people have been killed since 7 October, including 2,055 children, 1,119 women, and 217 elderly. Another 15,273 have been injured. An additional 1,500 persons are reported missing, including 830 children.
Overall, nearly 1,400 Israelis and foreign nationals have been killed in Israel, according to the Israeli authorities, the vast majority on 7 October (OCHA).
Shelters are operating beyond their capacities and many new IDPs are sleeping in the streets as current facilities are overwhelmed. The number of IDPs in UNRWA shelters is four times more than what UNRWA had originally planned for.

Russian, Chinese veto shoots down US resolution on war on Gaza
Russia labeled the US draft resolution as a "license" for "Israel" to proceed with a ground invasion in Gaza.
Chinese Ambassador Zhang Jun said that the US draft resolution on the war on Gaza does not reflect the world's strongest calls for a ceasefire and would not help resolve the conflict.

The U.S. Has Betrayed Egypt Again
The Egyptian parliament met on October 19 and gave President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi the power to declare war against Israel, if necessary. Egypt and Israel have a peace treaty dating from 1979, which has been a success, proving that a neighboring Arab and Muslim country can share long-lasting peaceful relations with the Jewish State of Israel.
Egyptians have watched in horror at the scenes of death and destruction in Gaza as the Israeli government exacts its revenge on Hamas after the October 7 attack on Israel. With the promised Israeli ground invasion of Gaza beginning at any moment, it is expected to be a bloodbath among unarmed civilians. Already the death toll is at least 5,087, including 2,055 children.
The Cairo Peace Summit, co-chaired by the leaders of Egypt, Jordan, and Palestine, met on October 21.
Sisi said that the solution to the Palestinian issue is not the displacement of an entire people to other areas, but justice and obtaining their legitimate rights and the right to self-determination.
The U.S. sent a low-level representative to the Cairo Peace Summit, and this was a message from U.S. President Joe Biden, that the U.S. is working against Egypt, and not with them.

Russia has taken the commanding high-ground of the slag-heap hill near the coking plant in Adveevka, and also the railroad tracks. The Russians did most of the taking of the dug-in slag heap positions by FPV suicide-drones, not infantry.
There are close to 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers in the fortified city, like Bakhmut, and something like 30,000 more will be rapidly fed into the "meat grinder", mostly conscripted Russian-speaking Ukrainian conscripts.
The "Russian" forces carrying out the assault are on their home ground, Donetsk People's Republic forces, now part of the Russian army. They put their flag and the Russian flag on the slag heap, and a Ukrainian drone sent to blow it up was only half successful, removing the 114th Guards unit flag only. Both flags were replaced by morning, in opposite order, to make the point.
The Ukrainian 47th Mechanized Brigade, that got the Bradley fighting vehicles, Leopard tanks, and NATO training, and has been taking heavy casualties all summer in "Bradley Square" (Rabotino) battle area, refused to fight, was withdrawn to the rear, was sent to Adveevka, and is taking even heavier losses, as reported by a tearful female medic, who has been with them all summer, but is now broken by their current losses. The orders from Zelensky down are to "stand and hold at any cost", just like Bakhmut.
Near Kherson, along the southern Dnieper River, Ukrainian forces keep crossing in small squads, in boats, to occupy vacant buildings, until they are killed by artillery and bombs.
Along the northern battlefront, there are 90,000 Russian soldiers not staged for attack, but awaiting orders a little behind the front. They could be put into major action near Kharkov, but that is not certain.
Israel keeps saying they are ready to invade Gaza, but they may not actually be, and the US is advising restraint on the ground, but not in the devastating bombing-genocide.
Sergey Lavrov just visited Tehran. The Iraqi Ambassador met with the Russian Deputy Defense Minister in Moscow.  Lots of smaller resistance groups in various countries have been attacking US troops in solidarity with Gazan Palestinians. The US is rushing anti-aircraft and missile defenses to the area, though recent American missile defenses have performed very poorly against even low quality rocket attacks, as from Yemen, and tens of thousands of sophisticated Iranian missiles are the presumed threat.
This is game-changing:"Russia is now granting Iran direct access to land in Russia’s Khmeimim Syria base, after Israel recently bombed and disabled runways in both Damascus and Aleppo international airports."
Game changing: "Russia just recently again conducted some final tests on the Burevestnik missile, which no country on the world has an analog of. It’s a missile that has unlimited range due to using nuclear powered propulsion." This can loiter in earth orbit indefinitely and strike from any direction, not just over the north pole. The US has one factory for a lot of items, like Abrams tanks, and 155 mm artillery shells. Each of those factories becomes a target for disabling "conventional" warhead attack.
Every day, in myriad ways, Ukrainians at all levels of military and civilian life are seeing hopelessness of the war against Russia.

Bobby could have followed in his uncle’s path, advocating that all Americans walk in the shoes of the Palestinian people to better understand their grievances and, in doing so, be better positioned to come up with a fair and equitable peace based on diplomacy, not war.
Bobby did not and has not. His appointment of Amaryllis Fox Kennedy bodes poorly for the future. I will continue to applaud Bobby for his stance on Russia and disarmament. Israel to Consider Civilians ‘Terrorist Accomplices’ If They Stay in North Gaza
Israel has ordered the evacuation of Al-Quds hospital, which is housing more than 400 patients and 12,000 displaced civilians

Israeli think tank lays out a blueprint for the complete ethnic cleansing of Gaza
An Israeli think tank with ties to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a report on October 17 promoting the "unique and rare opportunity" for the “relocation and final settlement of the entire Gaza population.”

Washington wants Israel to delay its ground offensive into the Gaza Strip in order to buy time for talks on hostages and to allow more humanitarian aid into the territory, unnamed US sources were quoted as saying by an American newspaper.

In the rubble of Gaza City, with underground tunnels, the defenders would have some advantage, and might take half as many casualties as attackers, except the attackers have tanks, armored bulldozers and helicopter-gunships. What if those become targets? The main factor in this battle would become the will of the fighters, "fire in the belly".
Hamas has released a video confirming the information that has been circulating for some time and they said that large stocks of American and generally NATO weapons that had been delivered to Ukraine are in... Gaza!
In the video, Hamas shows that it has a large quantity of AT4 and NLAW anti-tank missiles and rockets for use against the Israeli Army's Merkava III/IV/IVM main battle tanks in Gaza...
..They talked about, M4, various types of anti-tanks such as Javelin up to MANPADS Stinger and others.

Reports are flooding-in this morning claiming HAMAS shot-down an Israeli military helicopter over the Gaza Strip, killing fifty (50) soldiers on board.
Imagery (above) showing a downed Israeli army's CH-53 Stallion (Yasur) Helicopter, which was reportedly destroyed by Hamas with a guided rocket, on fire in a field, seems to corroborate these claims.

THE EXISTENTIAL TRAP – THE PENTAGON HAS JUST FALLEN INTO IT, AS BIDEN TRIES TO AVOID CARTER’S HOSTAGE RESCUE DISASTER
The sudden change of US warfighting plans in defence of Israel, disclosed on Saturday by General Lloyd Austin, the US Defense Secretary, reveals the trap which Russia, China, and Iran have opened, and the desperate measures the US has taken as it falls in.
Austin announced  that he has “redirected the movement of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group to the Central Command area of responsibility.
This carrier strike group is in addition to the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group, which is currently operating in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. It will further increase our force posture and strengthen our capabilities and ability to respond to a range of contingencies.”
“I have also activated the deployment of a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery as well as additional Patriot battalions to locations throughout the region to increase force protection for U.S. forces.”...
..Sailing in the eastern Mediterranean would have put the strike group to the west of Israel. But that plan changed after a week in which U.S. forces in Syria and Iraq came under fire from Iran-backed militias, and a U.S. Navy ship in the Red Sea downed missiles launched from Yemen…
..On Saturday, Austin said in a statement the strike group will now go to the ‘Central Command area of responsibility.’ Central Command covers a vast amount of Middle East territory, including the Persian Gulf and Red Sea.”
The purpose of “these steps,” Austin said, is to “bolster regional deterrence efforts, increase force protection for U.S. forces in the region, and assist in the defense of Israel.”...  ..But Austin’s rush to change the sailing orders for the Eisenhower and fly THAADs and Patriots to US bases in the Arab territories reveals he’s short of time too. This is because the entire portfolio of US air defence systems is being defeated. The Russian Kinzhal has defeated the US Patriot batteries around Kiev; the Hamas swarms of drones and rockets defeated Israel’s Iron Dome on October 7. THAAD has been tested in combat once, against a Houthi missile, rocket and drone attack against Abu Dhabi targets in January 2022. “Several were intercepted, a few of them [weren’t].”
The USS Carney’s firing against Houthi missiles and drones in the Red Sea has exposed how vulnerable that southern line of attack against Israel would be if the Houthis try swarming instead of testing their ordnance, as they did against the Carney...
..Tongue-biting and stammering are clinical symptoms of the mind which knows what to say but has difficulty getting it out; this usually causes loss of self-esteem.  When General Austin is speaking like this, it signals the mind doesn’t know what to say, and is desperate for self-esteem.
Austin also signalled that the Pentagon is preparing rapid deployment forces for evacuation of air and ground base soldiers and airmen in Jordan, Syria and Iraq if they are swarmed by protesters. “I have placed,” Austin said, “an additional number of forces on prepare-to-deploy orders as part of prudent contingency planning"...
..According to this source,  the anti-air and land target capabilities of the DC-10 missile arming the Chinese Navy’s Type-052D destroyer now in the Persian Gulf “poses a number of security challenges for the United States. The DH-10 has a low flight altitude that increases its stealth capabilities against the air defense radars. The DH-10 can also be updated during its flight with new targeting data, allowing it to change targets. The stealth capabilities employed by the DH-10 allow it to confuse or outmaneuver the radars and defenses around ships in the region.”  ...
..“Hanging out with or near Israel just became very dangerous,” according to a US military source familiar with the situation. “I think the Houthi firing, trap or not, scared the shit out of them [Pentagon]. The number of drones and missiles the Carney ‘shot down’ keeps going up. It’s not just the missiles they are worried about. Iranian drone technology, and their capacity to get them into the hands of their allies, must be causing alarm. What scares them about the Chinese task force is the range of its cruise missiles as well as its capacity to link up with Iranian and (I assume) Russian air defence radar and targeting networks. They’ve all been practicing together.”
“Every American and allied base in the region is now under a joint, mutually supportive, Russian, Iranian and Chinese umbrella. In short, a trap.”

(bluffing) Blinken Warns UN Of "Decisive" Action If Iran Proxies Attack Americans; Carrier Strike Groups On Alert  (Houthis already fired missiles, so what?)
Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Tuesday delivered a stern warning to Iran before a UN Security council meeting, saying the US is prepared to respond "decisively" if Tehran or its proxies launch attacks on Americans in the Middle East.
Not only does the Pentagon still have thousands of troops and assets in Iraq, long under the domination of Shia paramilitary influence, but it has up to a thousand or so troops occupying broad oil and gas regions of eastern Syria. Missile and drone attacks on Pentagon outposts in Syria and Iraq have been rising in the last days. But the real concern is on Israel's northern border, where Hezbollah has launched multiple guided missile and anti-tank attacks on Israel border posts, including on Tuesday.
"The United States does not seek conflict with Iran," Blinken told the UNSC "We do not want this war to widen. But if Iran or its proxies attack US personnel anywhere, make no mistake: We will defend our people, we will defend our security, swiftly and decisively."

(Israel is already using white phosphorus bombs in residential areas, and carpet-bombing them, just like the US did in Fallujah. There must be finer points, too, I suppose.)
Given that among the over 200 hostages held by Hamas, there are American captives, the stakes are high for Washington. The prisoners are said to be scattered around Gaza, and possibly underground in tunnels, making any kind of commando rescue attempt scenario basically impossible.
On Sunday, an Israeli ground unit with bulldozers and a tank briefly went into Gaza, but it resulted in reportedly the tank destroyed and an IDF troop death, with others injured.

Macron Wants Anti-ISIS Coalition To Fight Hamas, But Presses Bibi For "Clarity About Endgame"
French President Emmanuel Macron has traveled to Israel Tuesday, the latest Western leader to do so, where he's meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other top officials in what's scheduled as a two-day trip. He's met with families of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack as well.
He arrived in Tel Aviv just after Gaza's health ministry announced that deaths from Israeli airstrikes have soared past 5,000 killed. Just in the last 24 hours, officials said that 704 Palestinians have been killed. Additionally the ministry has warned that hospitals and medical centers are shutting down at rapid pace, with lack of resources including fuel and electricity.
Macron, while meeting Netanyahu in Jerusalem on Tuesday, conveyed that the release of the over 220 hostages held in Gaza should be the "first objective" of Israel and its allies. Macron appears to be backing Biden's appeal for Israel to stall the ground invasion in order to provide more time for negotiations. So far, four women have been released from Hamas captivity, including two Americans from Chicago.
But Macron has also made headlines in proposing that France help provide a military solution. He has offered that France's counter-ISIS forces be utilized for anti-Hamas action. He said his country stands ready "to beef up what we are doing in the coalition against ISIS. We are available to include Hamas in the coalition against ISIS depending on what Israel will ask us to deliver."
Macron said at a press conference alongside Netanyahu that terrorism is "our common enemy". Referencing the Islamic State, he explained, "France is ready for the international coalition against Daesh in which we are taking part for operations in Iraq and Syria to also fight against Hamas."

Israel-Palestine war: Israeli officials 'unhappy' with released woman's description of captivity   (They keep having this problem with former hostages.)
Yocheved Lifshitz, 85, who was released by Hamas fighters, said she was beaten when abducted but later treated 'gently'
Israeli officials are reportedly unhappy with an interview given by an elderly former captive of Hamas in Gaza because she had not been well prepared for the statement.
In a press meeting on Tuesday, 85-year-old Yocheved Lifshitz, an Israeli captive released from Gaza on Monday evening, said she was beaten on 7 October, the day Palestinian fighters stormed southern Israel, but later treated "gently".
Sources told Israel's state-owned Kan News that the interview was a "mistake", adding that a "preliminary meeting" may not have been held with Lifshitz prior to her press statement and that if one had been held, not "all questions" to do with the preparation were asked.

Yochaved Lifshitz : “Each of the five hostages in her group received their own doctor and there was a paramedic present who supervised medication, she said.
“They were very generous to us, very kind. They kept us clean,” Lifshitz said. “They took care of every detail. There are a lot of women and they know about feminine hygiene and they took care of everything there.”

Lifshitz also accused the Israel Defense Forces and Shin Bet intelligence service of not taking threats from Hamas “seriously” and said the costly Gaza border fence erected by Israel had done nothing to protect her community from Hamas’ attack.
“The lack of awareness by Shin Bet and the IDF hurt us a lot,” she stressed. “They warned us three weeks beforehand, they burned fields, they sent fire balloons and the IDF did not treat it seriously,” she continued.

Value Misjudgements

 Thinking Things Through,

Gilbert Doctorow says European leaders have blinders on about the risks they are subjecting their countries to.
When does a regional war become a global war?  What are the dangers of the present conflict in the Middle East for Europe?
Yesterday afternoon there was a less hopeful bit of news coming out of the gathering in Egypt convened by President Sisi between regional heads of state and European leaders. It turned out that the sides could not agree on a way forward. The Arab, Egyptian and other regional leaders wanted to agree to a call for an immediate cease-fire, while the European heads of government resisted signing to that bit of humanitarian common sense and only spoke in support of Israel...
..Dilan YeÅŸilgöz-Zegerius, the Dutch justice minister, who is the front-runner candidate in the forthcoming elections to replace Mark Rutte as prime minister, warned that the Israel-Hamas war poses a threat to Europe because it is widening cleavages in society. She noted that “…it will get translated to our societies as well.”
Clearly the lady hasn’t a clue as to the real external threats to Europe that lie immediately ahead, and no doubt she is not alone among European leaders in this willful ignorance. Should the Israelis proceed with a ground invasion, the Arab neighbors may respond in a manner that follows the U.S. example, namely they will not participate militarily in the conflict but will impose economic sanctions against the European Union for its one-sided approach and for turning a blind eye to the acts of genocide that Israel is now committing against the Palestinian people in Gaza...
..Qatar has already warned Germany that it stands ready to cut off further shipments of liquefied natural gas to Europe... How long will it be before the oil producers of the region declare an embargo on Europe for its stance...?

Arab, European leaders divided over Gaza crisis following Egypt summit
International leaders gathered at a summit in Cairo on Saturday to discuss solutions to the ongoing war between the Hamas-led Palestinian resistance and Israel, but failed to come to an agreement, as the divide between Arab and European leaders regarding Israel's bombing of Gaza grows.
In his opening remarks, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi invited leaders to agree to a road map to end the “humanitarian catastrophe” in the Gaza Strip and revive peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. The road map’s goals included the delivery of aid to Gaza and agreeing to a ceasefire, followed by negotiations leading to a two-state solution, he said...
..“The message the Arab world is hearing is loud and clear,” King Abdullah II of Jordan said during his speech. “Palestinian lives matter less than Israeli ones. Our lives matter less than other lives. The application of international law is optional, and human rights have boundaries — they stop at borders, they stop at races and they stop at religions.”
“Anywhere else, attacking civilian infrastructure and deliberately starving an entire population of food, water and basic necessities would be condemned,” King Abdullah said. “Accountability would be enforced.”
 ...
..No Israeli or senior US leader attended the summit, meaning no agreement to end the violence was possible.
Arab leaders fear threats issued by Israeli officials to drive Gaza’s 2.3 million residents into Egypt, in a repeat of the 1948 Nakba.
("Genocide", by definition.)
That year, Zionist militias used rape and massacre as tools to expel 750,000 Palestinians from their homes and make them refugees in neighboring countries, the West Bank, and Gaza. This allowed the Zionist militias to conquer the land needed to create a new state, Israel, with a majority Jewish population.
Egyptian President Sisi said his country opposed the displacement of Palestinians into Egypt's largely desert Sinai region, adding the only solution was an independent Palestinian state.
Jordan, home to many Palestinian refugees expelled during the Nakba and their descendants, also fears Israel will use the conflict with Hamas to expel Palestinians en masse from the occupied West Bank.
King Abdullah said forced displacement "is a war crime
("genocide") according to international law, and a red line for all of us."

Aleks at Black Mountain Analysis has been getting flak from "both sides" about his analytical, non-partisan assessments of the current Mideast war. I appreciate his work and perseverance-under-fire. He has a lot of contextual and in depth analysis here. The Arap countries and Iran have been quietly preparing for an existential crisis in Israel/Palestine for decades, preparing broadly and deeply. Iran's AlQuds force is dedicated to this "grassroots" work. Iran does not need to send an army overland to Israel/Palestine.
What can the United States do in the Middle East to help Israel? Apart from logistical support, absolutely nothing. And here is why: The United States has tens of thousands of soldiers in the Area. Some In previously-friendly states like Jordan and Saudia Arabia. Some in occupying functions like Syria and Iraq. There are almost no air defenses since the operations planning didn’t expect a large-scale conventional war against it in the Middle East. Why? Because divide and conquer was working fine. As long as the United States kept all Arabas fighting each other, there was no danger for the US to prepare itself for a big regional war against itself.
This ended with the reconciliation efforts by Russia, China, and Iran. Now all states are united (partly overtly and partly covertly) against the United States. It went down too fast.
The United States absolutely can’t assist Israel militarily in the region. It doesn’t have the strength/military power to do that. Don’t get me wrong. The US Army would still wipe the floor with Iran and all other Arab powers of the region combined. But only if it would concentrate its power and logistics on this region. Which it can’t.

John Helmer has a long and detailed strategic assessment from several viewpoints. Did you know that the Chinese Navy is shielding Iran?
US Afghanistan War veteran: “Suppose Israel and the US understand they are facing an existential survival future in which they must combat swarm attacks on three or four fronts — Gaza/Hamas, North/Hezbollah, Golan/Syria/Iran, and West Bank/Jordan, and they calculate the Arabs have at least a 30 to 60–day arms supply in stock, do they calculate they can withstand a multi-front offensive for enough time, resupplied by air from the US? If they calculate that they can withstand a 30-day multi-directional swarm, they must understand that, at a minimum, Israel’s infrastructure and economy will be ruined. In a scenario like that, even if they ‘win’, they lose. In terms of airlifting and shipping supplies, we’ve already seen that the Arabs can hit Israeli military and civilian airfields, airports and seaports. Defending Israeli infrastructure with their air defence capability is the main mission of the strike groups the US is deploying in the eastern Mediterranean and in the Red Sea.
Western societies like Israel cannot function without solid, reliable, electrical power and communications services. We can be certain that power generation, transmission and distribution will be targeted by the Arabs non-stop. The cell towers and central communications centres will be too.” ...
..Moscow source:  “When does the threat to Israel become so dire, they go nuclear, and when they do, against what targets will they fire – Hamas, Beirut, Damascus, Teheran?*  The US won’t accept a Palestinian state so the only option left for the Palestinians, Arabs, Iranians, possibly Turks is to fight with this new kind of warfare whose objective is to cut into the flesh and bones of the Israeli adversary, and make life in that state unviable. Without a Palestinian homeland, all of Israel and the Arab territories become a battlefield. The IDF options then shrink to two – carpet bombing and mass killing of the civilian population centres on all fronts at once. If that isn’t sustainable or effective for the Israeli-American purpose, then option 2 is to attack Lebanon, Syria and Iran to stop the flow of reinforcements. But that’s regional war, and it can only be conducted by the Israelis with full US military participation. This becomes nuclear very quickly because President Putin has already placed the Kinzhal missiles in range of the US carrier fleet in the eastern Mediterranean, and the Chinese have installed their screen to protect Iran. It’s obvious that the race hatred policies of Biden and Netanyahu, and their belief that God has chosen them both as destroyers for their people, lead to the final, nuclear weapons solution. The Russians and Chinese can maximise their limited military projection by deterring, or if need be pre-empting a nuclear attack on the Arab cities or Teheran. For this to work, the Russians and the Chinese need to say more – loudly so there’s no mistaking what they mean.”

Israeli Economy Minister Nir Barkat said on Sunday that the Israeli forces would “eliminate” Hezbollah and target Iran if the Palestinian militants open up a “northern front.”
“The plan of Iran is to attack Israel on all fronts. If we find they intend to target Israel, we will not just retaliate to those fronts, but we will go to the head of the snake, which is Iran.”

Israeli air attacks continue to pound the Gaza Strip. On Saturday night, strikes hit a popular cafe in (the "safe" south) Khan Younis and a restaurant in a bustling market area as people were buying food, leaving several casualties.
Over the last 24 hours, the bombardment has intensified. The majority of casualties – along with those injured and brought to hospitals – are civilians, with a significant number of them being children and women.
Israel has warned more than one million residents of the northern part of Gaza to move south for their safety, and the United Nations says more than half the enclave’s population is now internally displaced.

Defense is big business, and since the end of the Cold War, the government has allowed Wall Street to determine who owns, builds, and profits from defense spending.
The consequences, as with much of our economic machinery, are predictable. Higher prices, worse quality, lower output. Wall Street and private equity firms prioritize cash out first, and that means a once functioning and nimble industrial base now produces more grift than anything else. As Lucas Kunce and I wrote for the American Conservative in 2019, the U.S. simply can’t build or get the equipment it needs.

Brick added that Israel’s ground forces and reserve system have been constantly ignored: “We have lost the ability to field an effective army and have become a one-dimensional aerial power that cannot win a war on its own.”
In his view, Israel’s ground forces are not ready for war. The warning follows a series of polls showing that a large portion of Israeli citizens have lost faith in their country’s future.

The IDF is testing Hamas' defenses. Israeli soldier killed during ground raid in Gaza, Israel’s army says
Hamas’s armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, claims to have pushed Israeli forces back into Israel during the raid.
The Israeli military has said one of its soldiers was killed by an anti-tank missile reportedly shot by the Palestinian armed group Hamas during a raid into the Gaza Strip by the Israeli Army.
Three other soldiers were injured in the raid on Sunday, said the statement that came as the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, announced on its Telegram account that it had pushed Israeli forces back into Israel.
One Israeli soldier was killed, while “one was moderately injured, and two were lightly injured as a result of an anti-tank missile”, the Israeli military said.
The military said the purpose of the raid was to locate Hamas captives in Gaza’s Khan Younis area and to “thwart terrorist infrastructure”.

Amid War on Gaza, Scores of Palestinians Killed By Israeli Forces, Settlers in the West Bank
Amid Tel Aviv’s massive bombing campaign against the densely populated, besieged Gaza Strip, Israeli forces and illegal settlers have been on a rampage of violence, terror, torture, and murder throughout the occupied West Bank.
On October 7, Hamas carried out a surprise attack against southern Israel and the war against the people of Gaza was launched. Since then, Israeli gunfire in the West Bank has killed at least 75 Palestinians – including roughly 20 children – while over 1,300 have been wounded.

Moon of Alabama (Bernard) , Netanyahoo's Strategic Dilemma
Netanyahoo must attack Gaza to restore deterrence. He can not attack Gaza because the urban warfare would cause large Israeli casualties. He can not attack Gaza because Hizbullah would then destroy the myth of the superior settler state even more than Hamas has done so far.
Israel, with the help of the U.S., has tried to push the population of Gaza into Egypt. From Egypt's standpoint that would be a humanitarian solution, at least as long as others pay for it. But it would cause a serious strategic problem. Resistance by Hamas and others against Israel would continue indefinitely, but Egypt would be held responsible for it. It can not and will not take on that burden.
Netanyahoo's next idea was to starve Gaza. But the world will not let him do that. At least not beyond a certain point. Even the UN Secretary General has visited the Rafah crossing. Other global organizations, like the WHO and ASEAN, have spoken up. Pictures of starving people will make it impossible for the west to support that 'solution'.
Meanwhile Hamas fighters will continue to sit in their tunnels, ready to defend their land, and likely with enough provisions to hold out for months.
Israeli settlers, with the support of the IDF, are rampaging through the West Bank. They are killing more Palestinians and further enrage the global public against their deeds. This will escalate.
Israel's decision making is paralyzed. It will for now continue to talk of a ground invasion but will not launch one. It will also continue to starve Gaza.
But something will soon break.

Israel Plans to Turn Gaza Into 'Hiroshima' But Without Nuclear Weapons - Sy Hersh
Furthermore, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has every intention “to wipe out Hamas,” with little concern for hundreds of thousands of citizens of Gaza that were told to evacuate and move south of the enclave on October 12, underscored Sy Hersh, referencing unnamed intelligence analysts in Washington.
Netanyahu formed an emergency unity government a few days ago with ex-military Chief of Staff Benny Gantz to bring his National Unity party into the governing coalition and join the war cabinet including Defense Minster Yoav Gallant. Israel has vowed to "destroy" the Hamas movement ruling in the Gaza Strip after its attacks on Southern Israel. After calling up a reported 350,000 army reservists — totalling around a tenth of the country's workforce — since October 7, Israel appeared to be holding back on an invasion...
..“Under the Israeli plans, there would be no need for a massive ground invasion,” insiders had informed Hersh, while Israeli troops, “would be needed for hunting down those Hamas members underground who choose to surrender.” However, the orders to the Israeli military, according to a cited official, would be “shoot on sight,” with surrender not an option.

Rafah Crossing open, Israel obstructing entry of aid to Gaza, says Egypt
Egypt said, Friday, that the Rafah Border Crossing with Gaza was open on its side, accusing Israel of “refusing” the entry of aid into the besieged enclave, Anadolu Agency reports.
Egypt is clearly being targeted in Western media, which is promoting a “displacement scenario” for Palestinians and holding Cairo responsible for the crossing’s closure despite Israel’s “targeted attacks and refusal of aid entry,” Foreign Ministry spokesman, Ahmed Abu Zeid, said on X.

Egypt started large-scale military exercises simulating a war with Israel in the Sinai region while at the same time putting Air Force Squadrons on red alert.
The mobilization of the Egyptian Armed Forces was deemed necessary after the joint ultimatum of Al-Sisi and King Abdullah II of Jordan to Israel.
The displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to Sinai is a "red line" for Cairo.

Scott Ritter: Hamas 'Laid Trap' for Israel as US Cannot Replenish Iron Dome
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared war on the Hamas movement that rules in the besieged Gaza Strip in the wake of the surprise attack by several allied militant groups on October 7.
The incursion and subsequent skirmishes — including with Lebanese Hezbollah guerrillas on Israel's northern border — has left almost 300 Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops dead with 200 more held captive in Gaza. around 1,000 Israeli civilians were also killed. That represents Israel's worst losses since its 1982 invasion of southern Lebanon.
Tel Aviv has called up some 350,000 IDF reservists and has bombed Gaza for almost two weeks in preparation for a ground offensive, which Economy Minister Nir Barkat said had been given the "green light" on Thursday. But that invasion has yet to materialise.
Former US Marine and UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter told Sputnik the IDF simply "can't go into Gaza."
"If they go into Gaza, they will be slaughtered by Hamas who has deliberately set this trap," Ritter stressed. "Hamas is waiting for them to come in. Hamas will kill them in large numbers."
Along with the risk of heavy casualties in Gaza, Israel is wary of Hezbollah's threat to launch a major attack from the north if the IDF goes in.
"Israel cannot beat Hezbollah,"
Ritter argued. "There's a real likelihood that if Hezbollah comes in with everything they have, they will seize northern Israel in its totality, all the way up to the Sea of Galilee. Syria will recapture the Golan Heights, and there isn't anything Israel can do to stop it."

Israel’s attack on the fifth-century Church of Saint Porphyrius in Gaza has turned the spotlight on the besieged Palestinian enclave’s Christian population.
At least 18 people were killed in the bombing on a social services annex in the church's complex of buildings. Both Muslims and Christians took shelter within its walls hoping that its historical and religious importance would spare it the carnage that has affected other areas of Gaza.
As part of historic Palestine it is impossible to disconnect the history of Palestinian Christians in Gaza from those who share their faith in the occupied West Bank, Jerusalem and within the Palestinian community in Israel.
The region is the birthplace of Christianity and the location of many of the events of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.
Palestinian Christians in Gaza, like other Palestinians there, do not see themselves as detached from the wider Palestinian nation.

Yesterday I posted Ellen Brown's review of "The Great Taking", and Sasha Latypova relates here what happened when all of the money disappeared one day in Russia, all of it, for 2 years, and it never came back.
David Webb, The Great Taking , His research explains the financial underpinnings of the Great Reset.
From my personal experience, I already lived through one “great taking”, performed by whoever collapsed the Soviet Union. When Ukraine became independent from the former USSR in 1991, the ruble and any savings that anyone had at Sberbank (the only bank that existed in the USSR) disappeared overnight, and were not replaced. One can argue this was a very simple exercise given that only one state-owned bank was involved or needed to implement this reset, and there were no financial instruments, only cash savings in that bank. My grandparents had meager savings there and ended up with zero. I had no money at all as a young person, and I guess that can be a plus - when you own nothing, nobody can confiscate it from you. Afterwards, there was no currency in circulation in the country for approximately 2 years until hryvna was designed and printed and introduced. During those years, people (including me) received paychecks in the form of this - gov issued IOUs exchangeable for goods in stores that had any goods.
According to David Webb, the real assets that are owned without debt are probably the most secure, and my personal experience corroborates this. Privately owned businesses that also have no debt are probably fairly secure too, but in the event of a large scale market collapse they may or may not be able to continue as a going concern. In addition, as we saw in Lahaina and elsewhere, the global puppeteers have more tricks to steal land and other assets whether financed with debt or not.
Whether the Great Taking will occur or not, and when, is hard to predict. The scale is also hard to predict - all at once, regional, or some “market participants” but not others - all remains a possibility. In the meantime, all we can do is understand the system that is set up and being used against us, understand the agenda and the goals of the evil empire. This will enable effective individual decisions and actions we make every day.
