"Money makes the world go round" is a common whimsy, not factually true, but still painfully "true" for a human within the context of human political economics.
This is an ancient class war between those who lend money at interest, and those who work for their living, with a tendency to fall into debt slavery.
Debt slavery could not readily happen in small communities, but once a class of enforcers arose, then such "property rights" could be enforced, resulting in slavery.
Debt slavery is accelerated to the degree that leverage is applied to underlying assets, such as gold. 10X leverage creates more debt slaves that 3X leverage does.
In the ancient world most debts were owed to kings and temples, and were grain debts. The kings and temples had an interest in societal stability, and would declare debt forgiveness, "jubilee" years, periodically. Once debt began to be more in private hands of oligarchs, the interests of societal stability became secondary for any oligarch or group of oligarchs. Once lending for wars was established in a transnational setting, particularly after the Crusades were financed, this transnational financial elite could and did pit humans against each other in deadly struggle, benefitting from the winners and the plundered, fostering national debts in perpetuity, through existential wars.
"Jubilee" wars were fought in Egypt and Greece in the centuries before and during the life of Jesus of Nazareth, won by the creditors, the Roman economic elites.
Paradoxically, such "ownership" must be enforced by the very humans, armies and nations which it tortures and bleeds in debt slavery.

Week 5 2025 Alert and Update: Several US state mortality reporting districts and networks ceased reporting their mortality data as of the week ending 9 November 2024, apparently as a reaction to the outcome of the US Presidential Election. We notified the NCHS and CDC of the data shortfall in mid-January 2025 (see the chart below), however unlike the last 4 similar events we did not receive a response this time. Subsequently, as of 25 January 2025, the CDC and NCHS have ceased reporting of the Wonder Mortality Data altogether...

While the Covid mRNA vaccines may have provided a therapeutic effect during the fall 2021 B.1.617.2 variant wave, helping to keep some vulnerable individuals out of the hospital, this benefit did not translate into reduced infection rates or into any arguable offset in overall mortality.
In contrast, the Week 14, 2021 inception of the mRNA vaccine has led to a pronounced and pervasive inflection in mortality across multiple-dozens of ICD codes. This shift has resulted in more than 800,000 excess deaths from causes other than Covid or non-natural means (see Charts 3b and 4c). These deaths have come mainly as a result of the vaccine itself (see Charts 3c and 3d) – a mortality total which is 25 times greater than the 33,000 lives the CDC claimed could have been saved by the B.1.617.2-valent vaccine during the Delta Variant wave. Nations with a low rate of Covid and high rate of mRNA vaccination serve to confirm both the timing and cause of this excess mortality.
