Inexplicable Urgency

 Speechless,

The Ireland Event, Ben Hunt (The South African strain also spreads rapidly like this and is spreading in Brazil, where it's now summer.)
Last week I became consumed by a new twist on all this – Covid numbers that were being largely ignored. Insane infection numbers coming out of UK and Ireland, apparently driven by a new virus strain, that we acknowledged over here but didn’t seem to be too mussed about.
It reminded me of the Covid numbers coming out of Italy last February. Was Europe once again our crystal ball? Were we once again going to ignore THAT?
And when I say “insane infection numbers” I mean a 30x spike in Covid cases in Ireland over the span of two weeks in late December, where the R number – the basic reproductive rate of the disease – went from something around 1.2 to something around 3. Where you suddenly went from a few hundred new Covid cases every day to more than six thousand cases every day. All in a country the size of Alabama (which, btw, currently has about 4 thousand cases every day)...
.I believe there is a non-trivial chance that the United States will experience a rolling series of “Ireland events” over the next 30-45 days, where the Covid effective reproductive number (Re not R0) reaches a value between 2.4 and 3.0 in states and regions where a) the more infectious UK-variant (or similar) Covid strain has been introduced, and b) Covid fatigue has led to deterioration in social distancing behaviors.

Do take 5000 units per day of vitamin-D (double for 2 months if just starting), and look for treating physicians near you, who will prescribe early antiviral treatment, like ivermectin.

One Mexican state, Chiapas, started distributing ivermectin in July.

Republican party schism, America-First vs Business as Usual:
President Trump is - as usual -  insisting that he did nothing wrong in giving his 6 January speech and won’t be resigning or be 25th-d. Perhaps legally: but the great diplomat Talleyrand summed it up best, “It was worse than a crime. It was a mistake.” And politically it was a huge error, given the collapse in his approval rating across the board.
Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell is happy to press ahead with impeachment: and if you don’t think that will trigger a Brexit-style civil war in the party you haven’t been following Brexit. Which kind of Republican Party will eventually emerge, Mitch’s or Trump’s?
The departing Trump administration has declassified a foreign-policy strategy document 30-years early(!), which underlines its stance towards China. ABC news Australia notes this was previously classified "secret" and "not for foreign nationals". It reveals the US Indo-Pacific strategy was heavily influenced by both Australia and Japan, and was not forced on them. It also commits the US to "devise and implement a defence strategy capable of, but not limited to: (1) denying China sustained air and sea dominance inside the 'first island chain' in a conflict; (2) defending the first island chain nations, including Taiwan; and (3) dominating all domains outside the first island chain". To say that this will not go down well with China, or that China will not be happy that Australia and Japan helped drive this, is an understatement.

Former Texas congressman Ron Paul, 85, has been blocked from using his Facebook page for unspecified violations of “community standards.” Paul’s last posting was linked to an article on the “shocking” increase of censorship on social media. Facebook then proceeded to block him under the same undefined “community standards” policy

Gab CEO Andrew Torba released a statement on Friday on the latest suspicious activity on the social media platform. Torba says the company has noticed a slew of activity “popping out of nowhere” and promoting violence. He suspects this is a “CIA Mockingbird Media Complex” operation.

Tessa Fights Robots feels sick lately, like I feel sick lately.
It is with great frustration that I say this—but 2021 in America is a lot less fun than the 1990s in the post-Soviet space. Both are the times of societal restructuring and unprecedented, shameless robbery of everything by everyone who can. However, back then it felt like freedom, and right now it feels like a return to the Soviet Union—but without its security and its general communal warmth.
Now, the important battle. Currently we are facing a true existential danger coming from Big Tech, Big Biotech, their partners in the military, and their servants in the government, regardless of their political affiliation. Alas, I cannot name a president or a popular presidential candidate who hasn’t been collaborating with very wealthy people who are, in turn, hellbent on turning all of us into serfs. Obama was in bed with Google. Trump went “Operation Warp Speed,” packed with the military crooks. Yang wants a vac…n passport. Biden is all, #BuildBackBetter. Like, seriously, WTF, all of them. So it’s just us. We are on our own, and we only have our hearts to lead us. Perhaps, it’s always been this way, and now it’s just more visible. Perhaps, it’s an opportunity to finally find our hearts because it is the only source of light in the midst of darkness.

  1. Been followong your vit B protocol of 10,000 IU daily for 6 weeks. Got tested both at the start and after 6 weeks. Levels went up from 40 to 79.5. Cutting back to 5000 IU daily for maintenance. So it works.
So the question I have is how much is the effectiveness of a vaccine effected by a weak immune system due to low vit D levels? Seems to me that vaccine trying to trick the immune system into producing antibodies would not be as effective if your immune system is weak. Has anyone done any studies?

    1. The immune system is a complex and highly inter-related system.
It is stupider and misguided without vitamin-D, not "weaker" or "stronger", as often conceptualized.
People with autoimmune disease should certainly assure adequacy of their vitamin-D levels.

    2. Thank you for that clarification. Smarter, not stronger. I'll have to do more reading. I was a chemistry major in college. Never got into biochemistry though. More into physical chemistry and what makes things go.

  2. Re the ivermectin, it clearly seems to work, like in Chiapas. It's not a vaccine, so it should help even people with weak immune systems. Wondering why it is not widely adopted seems like a waste of time. Better spent time is looking for a source. Our local vet has it as a parasite treatment. I haven't yet checked the drugstores to see if they have it as a parasite treatment. In any case, thank you for your continued efforts to keep us healthy.

    1. What interests are served by suppressing cheap , effective treatments for COVID? What alliances of interests might be served that way. We speculate, because we are not in such an alliance.
