Fearless Life

Sharing Life,

The Boy In The Bubble, Paul Simon, 1987
I awoke a couple of hours before dawn, with the question still burning of who is the enemy? Also, this song was answering, but I could only remember a few words and the refrain.
It is really worth a careful read, look and listen again.
We are in the battle for and against life-on-earth. The”loose affiliation of millionaires and billionaires” is invisible, distributed, has henchmen in every niche of the machine that controls and bleeds life.
 There is no decapitating strike.
There is persistence in life, and sharing with other living entities.
There is intuition, heroism, clairvoyance, inspiration and serendipity.
Choose life. It transcends you and me.

It was a slow day
And the sun was beating
On the soldiers by the side of the road
There was a bright light
A shattering of shop windows
The bomb in the baby carriage
Was wired to the radio

These are the days of miracle and wonder
This is the long distance call
The way the camera follows us in slo-mo
The way we look to us all

The way we look to a distant constellation
That’s dying in a corner of the sky
These are the days of miracle and wonder
And don’t cry, baby, don’t cry
Don’t cry

It was a dry wind
And it swept across the desert
And it curled into the circle of birth
And the dead sand
Falling on the children
The mothers and the fathers
And the automatic earth

These are the days of miracle and wonder
This is the long distance call
The way the camera follows us in slo-mo
The way we look to us all, oh yeah

The way we look to a distant constellation
That’s dying in a corner of the sky
These are the days of miracle and wonder
And don’t cry baby, don’t cry
Don’t cry

It’s a turn-around jump shot
It’s everybody jump start
It’s every generation throws a hero up the pop charts
Medicine is magical and magical is art
Think of the boy in the bubble
And the baby with the baboon heart

And I believe
These are the days of lasers in the jungle
Lasers in the jungle somewhere
Staccato signals of constant information
A loose affiliation of millionaires
And billionaires and baby

These are the days of miracle and wonder
This is the long distance call
The way the camera follows us in slo-mo
The way we look to us all, oh yeah

The way we look to a distant constellation
That’s dying in a corner of the sky
These are the days of miracle and wonder
And don’t cry baby, don’t cry
Don’t cry, don’t cry

The current best treatment for coronavirus consists of 21 pills of hydroxychloroquine and 6 pills of azithromycin, both cheap, generic, and widely used medicines in the US and throughout the world.
It's a really effective treatment. Test widely and treat early.

Power-lizards need a crescendo of fear to get societal buy-in for martial law...
Fear is optional, a waste of life force.
(Sorry, I forgot who sent this story.)
US authorities are taking practical steps to introduce a state of emergency in which power can pass from civilian to military. This is reported by a large article by William M. Arkin published in Newsweek entitled “ Exclusive: inside top-secret military plans in case the coronavirus cripples the government .”
An article in Newsweek reported that on February 1, 2020, US Secretary of Defense Mark T. Esper signed orders directing NORTHCOM to implement nationwide plans to fight the pandemic. In addition, Minister Esper also secretly signed Warning Orders, WARNORDs to NORTHCOM and its subordinate military units on the US East Coast “to deploy in support of potential emergency missions.”

Contextual reset, along with everything else:
How ridiculous and insipid do the identitarian fights over gender, race, sex and color look now? How dangerous and stupid does all that capital, that time spent, look now in hindsight when today people with skills, humility and high executive function are needed?
Do you really care today if the guy behind the meat counter at your local supermarket is a MAGApede or a Bernie Bro, hates gay people or is a closet tranny?

Economist Steve Keen, who does understand the exponential function, is in southern Thailand, having entered with his Thai National paramore one day before they closed the front gate. He'll weather the viral storm there. He has lots of useful information here. My friend Larry and his wife Timi are in Thailand, but they got there before Steve did.
Good venue, but I'm in Texas, which does not need to be a bad venue.
Austin is doing ok, especially my clinic...

Fracking is one fronts of the war against life.
Professor Anthony Hall sent this story of the illegal fracking in Alberta poisoning municipal water supplies and STILL CONTINUING.

Thanks again for your tireless efforts to keep your readers informed and your clinic patients prepared for Covid 19. Regarding hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin, can my local PA prescribe these meds for me now so that I can purchase/procure them in advance? Or must I show signs of Covid infection before they can be prescribed? How many pills of each medication would be a reasonable amount to fight off an infection?

I am 72, in good health, while my spouse is 60 with a compromised immune system. It appears that we would each need a prescription. If our PA resists prescribing until we are 'infected' are there any other alternatives to procure these meds in advance?

Here in Republic, WA a small town of 1,000, few people wear masks yet, but social distancing is gaining traction. I ski daily and now we take separate cars for the 20 minute drive to exercise on the dwindling snowpack. We are urging friends to get outside and walk or work in their gardens to boost their immune systems.

We are sitting weekly at Sunday 10:00 AM for an hour and our local sangha members are doing so at the same time. In addition, my wife is a member of sanghas in Spokane and Sandpoint, ID and they are sitting at the same time. We are sending metta & compassion to all, and clarity to our leaders.

Prayers to you and your partner,

    Cleve

    1. Good on ya, Cleve.
The link that is right beneath my summary of the number of pills of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin goes to the complete research paper, which any doctor can readily comprehend. The upshot is that a standard Z-pak (6 pills) and 7 days of hydroxychloroquine 200 mg every 8 hours (21 pills) eradicates virus quite reliably.
The best approach is initially testing for mild symptoms and treating promptly. As soon as possible, this should move to universal testing, with treatment of all positives. Asymptomatic positive young people could stay isolated/quarantined, but it would take longer, and people leak out of containers.
If you print a couple of copies of the paper, you can give one to your doctor and share one around.
Avoid contact until then, though being outside together is quite healthy if nobody is spewing droplets your way.
