Only Non-Solutions

 Problem Solvers,

Larry Johnson posted this long essay on his site, which is most illuminating, and we have all seen it happening, but this is the whole-elephant (excerpted here).
WHY IS THE WEST SO WEAK (AND RUSSIA SO STRONG)? THE ROLE OF HUMAN CAPITAL AND WESTERN EDUCATION , Gaius Baltar
I suggest that the cause of this unfolding disaster is a serious structural problem in the West – which Russia seems to have largely avoided. This structural problem is a necessary condition for the current western system and has been purposely created to bring it about and maintain it. This problem is the subject of this article – as well as the “mechanism” behind it. This is unfortunately a long article, but the subject matter demands it.
  Human capital and its properties
The current ideologically-based power structure of the West outright requires that certain types of people be in positions of influence and certain types of people be sidelined. This applies to all steps of the social ladder; from kindergarten teachers to university teachers and corporate executives, and all the way up to the leaders of society itself. This has been progressing steadily for the last five decades or so, and has resulted in a major structural problem for the West. That problem is the obvious and massive degradation and misallocation of human capital in the West.
Human capital can be described as the quality of a company’s or nation’s workforce, or more specifically how competent the employee pool is – how well they are trained, how quickly they can be trained, how they are educated in general, and how they make decisions. In order to understand what competence really means, let’s define it further.
Competence can be described as specific or general. This distinction is extremely important and must be understood by anyone who attempts to manage human capital on a small or large scale.
Specific competence is the ability to do a certain type of work. This can be carpentry, coding, chemistry, medicine, piloting an airliner, and so on and so forth. Some of these types of jobs may require a lot of competence, training and intelligence, but what they have in common is that their scope is limited and clearly defined. They exist within clear boundaries, separate from the complexities and vagueness of the world in general. Each type of work requires certain abilities innate in the person, as well as varying degrees of training. People, of course, differ a lot in their level of specific competence within each field.
General or high-level competence is the ability to do work that is beyond clearly defined boundaries. The subject matter of those types of work exists in a complex “variable universe” and can be exceedingly vague and confusing. It requires the ability to be adaptive and be able to transfer skills between different types of work. This also applies to expertise in one field being applied to a completely different field – such as applying psychology to economics or astrophysics to climate science.
Examples of positions requiring general or high-level competence people are corporate executives, all kinds of planners and administrators, product developers, inventors, high-level consultants and analysts, military leaders and planners, diplomats, judges, political leaders, and high-level scientists and theoreticians, to name a few.
Specific and general competence types of work are not two separate things. Types of work or “jobs” can be said to range from almost completely specific up to almost completely general. Almost all types of work have elements of both but in varying proportions. To illustrate this I will take an example from a company I’m personally familiar with. This is a software company with several owners, most of whom work at the company. One of the owners is an exceptionally competent database specialist. However, when he contributes to decision making for the company as a whole, he becomes an outright problem. The management structure of the company had to be “modified” to neutralize him in that role, as well as a few others. This employee has exceptional specific competence but very poor general competence. He cannot “transfer” his specific database competence over to competence in moving the company into the future. He simply cannot operate objectively or sensibly outside his database job.
So what makes this employee have such poor general competence – or more specifically – what is general competence? General competence requires three necessary conditions: a) High general intelligence or IQ, b) the ability to be objective, even in situations where the result of your conclusions may not be to your liking, and c) the ability to reach conclusions without being influenced by others (i.e. independent thinking). The latter two conditions are a direct result of how the human brain interacts with the environment. The mechanism behind it is too complicated to describe here, but in simplistic terms it can be said that humans range in their relationship with reality from the emotional-outward/subjective to the introspective/objective. This variable, like all evolutionary traits, including IQ, is normally distributed. This has rather disturbing implications which may be difficult for some people to understand.
Let’s first look at IQ, or general intelligence. In order to be able to deal with seriously complicated work or get through a real university program, an IQ of about 125 is necessary. Only about 5% of the population in the West has this IQ or higher. This means that the pool of potentially high-level competence people is very small to begin with. Even if we use a cut-off of an IQ of 115, which is sufficient for most semi-complicated work, the potential pool only goes up to 16% of the population.
Now let’s take a look at the other variables, i.e. objectivity and independent thinking. Those two are correlated and we will, for the sale of convenience, handle them as the same variable or trait, even though they aren’t. They are normally distributed, much like IQ, with most in the middle and fewer toward the extremes in both directions. On one side of the distribution are people who, to state it bluntly, are incapable of thinking objectively about any issues that may interact with their personal views about anything at all. They can be competent in a limited field which is “neutral” to them (such as databases), but not involving anything else. They can’t run a company in a competitive environment, except into the ground. They can’t run a city, a country, a military campaign, an economy, or anything requiring general competence, except into the ground, regardless of their intelligence. These people are clearly not suitable for general/high-level competence jobs.
So, what is the proportion of the population that is objective enough and independent thinkers enough to be suitable for those jobs? That’s difficult to determine but it’s clear that it is maximum 50% of the population. In reality it’s far less but let’s be generous and say it’s 30%. What does that mean?
IQ and objectivity/independent thinking are somewhat correlated but let’s assume they are not. Let’s say that we have a pool of potentially objective and rational people that is 30% and a pool of people with IQ of 125 that is 5%. That means that the pool of high-level general competence people is 5% of 30%, or 1.5% of the population.
If we are really generous and assume that 50% of the population is objective and rational and an IQ of 115 is sufficient for those jobs, then we have 16% of 50%, which is a pool of 8% of the population.
The importance of this cannot be overstated. This group, whether we define it as 1.5% of the population or 8% of the population, is extremely valuable. This is essentially the only group in society that can reliably evaluate complex situations and make subsequent rational decisions. Without it, modern technological society simply cannot be built or maintained – let alone advanced. Let me rephrase this – if we do not identify and utilize this group, we cannot run our complicated societies except into the ground.

Why Is America’s ‘Woke Left’ Silent Over Blockbuster Child Sex-Trafficking Film?
A new American film that reveals the brutal reality of child sex-trafficking has been greeted with muted enthusiasm from the political left, which begs the question: does the silence equal complicity in the unspeakable crime?
Tim Ballard is an American anti-human trafficking activist, author and founder of the non-profit organization Operation Underground Railroad, an anti-sex trafficking organization. A former special agent at the Department of Homeland Security who now works independently, Ballard’s life’s work is being immortalized in a Hollywood film, entitled Sound of Freedom.
The film, which stars Jim Caviezel in the role of Ballard, leads audiences through the harrowing twists and turns of Ballard’s true life experiences where he works to rescue children from the nightmare of sex slavery. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the film has grossed over $140 million in the United States against a $14.5 million budget, while audience reception has been highly positive, scoring 99% on the Rotten Tomatoes film review site, and for apparently good reason.
According to estimates by the International Labour Organization, there were 24.9 million victims of human trafficking around the world in 2016. Yet for reasons known only to them, the left-leaning media and other institutions appear to be strangely anxious to draw the curtain on the Angel Studios production.

“The West can’t do diplomacy in general, it can’t run its cities or countries except into the ground, its high-tech projects fail almost as a rule, its infrastructure is crumbling, its economies are crumbling, and all public policies seem to have a civilizational suicide as a final goal.” — Gaius Baltar

Thomas Knapp on the push to bring back the military draft in the US , Thanks Christine
“Today,” Lt. Colonel Joe Plenzler (USMC, retired) writes at Military.com, “the military needs only about 160,000 youth from an eligible population of 30 million to meet its recruitment needs. But after two decades of war — both of which ended unsuccessfully — and low unemployment, many experts believe the all-volunteer force has reached a breaking point.”
Plenzler suggests a “limited” military draft to make up for recruitment quota shortfalls. “We should have our military recruiters sign up new troops for 11 months out of the year,” he writes, “and then have the Selective Service draft the delta between the military’s needs and the total number recruited.”
As a practical matter, Plenzler’s proposal “solves” an artificial problem that needn’t and shouldn’t exist. The US armed forces are far too large and far too expensive if their purpose is “national defense.” If they were cut by 90%, the risk of a significant foreign attack on the US would remain the same as now — virtually non-existent, and mostly a matter of air and missile defense. Stop trying to rule the world militarily. “Problem” solved.
As a legal matter, the 13th Amendment to the US Constitution remains the Supreme Law of the Land: “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.” While the government and its courts have a long history of ignoring that unambiguous ban on conscription.

Steve Kirsch , VAERS data is crystal clear: The COVID vaccines are killing an estimated 1 person per 1,000 doses (676,000 dead Americans)

Infant Vaccines Linked to Increase in All-Cause Mortality, New Research Shows
A new study finds developed countries requiring the most vaccine doses for infants have higher childhood mortality rates, contradicting assumptions that more vaccines equate to lower deaths.
“Our findings would be considered moderate correlations which are statistically significant,” Miller said. The correlations are positive, meaning that the more vaccine doses given, the higher the mortality...
Developed nations requiring the most neonatal vaccine doses tend to have the worst childhood mortality rates, according to a peer-reviewed study published July 20 in Cureus Journal of Medical Science.
“Health authorities emphasize that vaccines save lives,” lead author Neil Miller told The Defender. “Yet our data suggests that when developed nations require two versus zero neonatal vaccine doses, or many versus fewer vaccines during infancy, there may be unintended consequences that increase all-cause mortality.”
Miller, director of the Institute of Medical and Scientific Inquiry in Santa Fe, New Mexico, has been researching this topic since the early 2000s. In a 2011 paper with the same co-author — Gary S. Goldman, Ph.D., an independent computer scientist — they showed that developed countries requiring the most vaccine doses for infants had the least favorable infant mortality rates...
..“In these circumstances health authorities expect to see negative correlations, that is, a decline in mortality with more vaccine doses. So, any statistically significant positive correlation is a genuine concern,” Miller said.
Miller calculated a highly significant difference of 1.28 deaths per 1,000 live births in the mean infant mortality rates between nations not giving their neonates any vaccine doses, and those requiring vaccination against both hepatitis B and tuberculosis.
For each reduction of six vaccine doses administered during infancy, the infant mortality rate improved by approximately one death per 1,000 live births.
A hallmark of good science is the good-faith openness to test one’s conclusions, a practice Miller and Goldman followed here. To validate their conclusions, the researchers applied 18 different statistical analyses to the data. This is like using several different camera angles to confirm whether a tennis ball hit the line or was out.
Seventeen of 18 statistical treatments confirmed the original conclusion that the more vaccines given, the higher the infant and early childhood mortality rates.
In most nations, more than half of all infant deaths (within the first year) occur during the neonatal period (the first 28 days of life), and about 75% of those deaths occur within one week after birth when hepatitis and tuberculosis vaccines are administered.
Deaths occurring during the neonatal period have a disproportionately high impact on the reporting of infant and under-5 mortality rates, but the longer after vaccination the deaths occur, the less likely physicians are to associate them with vaccines given right after birth.
“Hepatitis B and tuberculosis vaccines given shortly after birth, when the immune system is immature and the newborn’s weight is low, may increase vulnerability to serious adverse reactions and deaths that ultimately contribute to higher mortality rates moving forward,” Miller said.

Aspartame Linked to Anxiety — And Effects May Span Multiple Generations . Joseph Mercola D.O.
When aspartame is consumed, it’s broken down into aspartic acid, phenylalanine — a precursor of monoamine neurotransmitters — and methanol, which may have “potent” effects on your central nervous system, according to researchers at the Florida State University College of Medicine who also found that those effects may span multiple generations.
The research involved mice drinking water that contained aspartame at a dosage of approximately 15% of the FDA’s maximum daily intake, equivalent to a human drinking six to eight 8-ounce cans of diet soda daily.
The study came about after the research team looked at the transgenerational effects of nicotine, revealing epigenetic changes in sperm cells; similar effects may be occurring with aspartame.
The shocking findings add yet another reason why you should toss any aspartame-containing products from your kitchen cabinets.

Meryl Nass MD , How the current version of the WHO's Pandemic Treaty (aka Bureau Text) encourages rather than prevents pandemics
Obviously, the best way to spare us from another pandemic is to immediately stop funding “Gain of Function”* research, and get rid of what has already been funded and created. Let all the nations make big bonfires and burn up their evil creations at the same time, while allowing other nations to inspect their biological facilities and records.
But the WHO in its Bureau Text of the draft Pandemic Treaty has a plan that is the exact opposite of this. In the WHO’s world, which almost all nations’ rulers have bought into, all the governments will share any and all viruses and bacteria they come up with that have “pandemic potential” — share them with all the other governments. They are supposed to sequence them and then put the sequence online. No kidding. Then the WHO and all the Faucis of the world would gain access to every Frankenstein virus, at once. Presumably a bunch of hackers would also gain access to the sequences. Does this make you feel more secure?
The WHO Treaty draft incentivizes Gain Of Function research
At least this plan makes clear whose side everyone is on. Fauci, Tedros and their ilk at the WHO, and those managing biodefense and biomedical research for nation states are on one side, the side that gains access to even more biological weapons, and the rest of us are on the other, at their mercy.
This crazy plan used to be called proliferation of weapons of mass destruction—and it is almost certainly illegal. But it is their plan. Governments will all share the weapons. And they are to put a lot more money into biolabs, and especially into genomic sequencing. Presumably so they can make even better weapons, and maybe they will even get around to cures or antidotes. But who will get the cures? It wasn’t us during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Below you will find a PDF with 8 pages of the WHO Treaty Draft, with highlights and italicized comments from Dr. Nass. This appears to give all authority for medical emergency determination in the world to the WHO. All countries appear to be required to follow WHO edicts, and to fund WHO, and to keep their populations from spreading divisive (free speech) disinformation about WHO policies and mandates. The WHO will keep all pandemic treatment supplies, and determine their global usage (Is it better or worse to be their friend?)  There is a lot of ornate language which appears to insert "Private Partners" like the  Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation into the decision-making process. There are multiple references to "streamlining", which means eliminating any resistance from populations, elected officials and national courts. There is absolution from liability for the WHO and all who follow WHO edicts (except vaccine-recipients).  https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0?ui=2&ik=089f962730&attid=0.1&permmsgid=msg-a:r683875171107954000&view=att&disp=safe&realattid=f_ll1mqte70

World’s most successful author erased from exhibition celebrating her most famous character due to her views on trans community
The Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle has removed any references to Harry Potter author JK Rowling from an exhibition celebrating the fictional wizard, due to her “super hateful and divisive” comments about the transgender community.
“There’s a certain cold, heartless, joy-sucking entity in the world of Harry Potter and, this time, it is not actually a Dementor,” the exhibit’s project manager Chris Moore, who is transgender, wrote in a blog explaining the decision to axe Rowling from the museum.
Moore added: “This certain person is a bit too vocal with her super hateful and divisive views to be ignored.” The blog post also explained that the series creator’s absence is a short-term measure to “reduce her impact” while the museum determines its “long-term practices.”
According to the Daily Mail newspaper, the Harry Potter exhibit remains on display but without any mention whatsoever about the creator of the series, which has sold over 500 million books globally since 1997. JK Rowling was inducted into the museum’s hall of fame in 2018.

Injectable War Of Attrition

 Competing For Resources,

Red has sent Gail Tverberg's latest blog post about the critical nature of medium-petroleum-distillates, Diesel and Jet-Fuel for the critical transportation, mining , farming and industrial sectors. These cannot typically be obtained from lighter petroleum liquids, as obtained from fracking, but only from heavy crude. This is in shorter supply, and is becoming harder and more expensive to get out of the ground, as the easy oil was tapped first. This focuses on a critical economic sector. The Yellow Shipping Company has gone bankrupt. They provided final destination shipping to stores, small businesses and grocers. This cost will rise. All costs rise when the cost of a critical input rises, no matter what is done with the money supply. This was apparent in the 1970s, as oil prices tripled.
One of the trends this causes is productive economy moving to areas with lower overhead for total cost of manufacturing, because everybody hunts for bargains.
This trend is shown in graphs of OECD country vs. non-OECD use of diesel. "Advanced" countries topped out of middle-distillate use in 2007, with high prices, but poorer countries kept using more and more of these industrial, farming and transport fuels, implying the transfer of those productive activities to these countries.
A point she makes is that Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines have low heating and cooling costs, low costs of transportation (fewer cars) and low medical costs.
The biggest picture I would like to bring forward is that the moment predicted since 1957 seems to be well upon us, visible as a peak in petroleum liquids production in late 2018. (The late 2018 peak in total conventional oil does not factor in the greater percentage of that total required to get the oil out of the ground, transported, and processed. It is not as much higher in net-oil than the 2005 peak which led to acute price rises before 2008.) Where are we on this graph?

In 1957, Hyman Rickover of the US navy predicted that the amount of affordable fossil fuels would fall short between 2000 and 2050, with the amount of oil falling short earlier than coal and natural gas.
The book The Limits to Growth by Donella Meadows and others, published in 1972, discusses the result of early modeling efforts with respect to resource limits. These resource limits were very broadly defined, including minerals such as copper and lithium in addition to fossil fuels. A range of indications were produced, but the base model (based on business as usual) seemed to show limits hitting before 2030 (Figure 1).

I have tracked this graph since I learned about it in1974. It has tracked quite well, though both births and deaths trended a bit lower after the 1990s (not shown).
It seems to me that our world, as modeled here, has just had the inflection point of food, services and industrial-output per capita, and has used about half of "resources", for which oil is a good marker.
This Systems Analysis model did not include any political or economic theory, only fundamental data pertaining to the system of this world as populated and managed by humans. There were 3 iterations of this computer modeling, which tracked the previous century very well when taken back to "predict" it from starting measurements. "World-3" produced this graph, a restatement of the original 1972 "Business as Usual" graph.
The thrust in 1972 was for the world to work concertedly to bring about a better future for humanity than the one after the inflection we're in. Jimmy Carter, who commanded a nuclear sub and risked his life in a core emergency to save the crew, was an acolyte of Admiral Rickover, and the last President of the US to address this honestly. Reagan and Thatcher derided it, introduced neoliberal financial "reforms" and began extracting wealth from the productive physical economies of their nations through global financialization. There was no apparent effect on these projected curves, but there was a vast transfer of wealth from workers to the top 5-10% of society, "investors", and particularly the top fraction of 1%, the billionaire class.
Looking at this from the viewpoint of the current "owners", we can see the breakdown of "their" industrial capacity, as "their" resources are rapidly depleted. Their work to reduce global births did seem to have an effect, but was offset by fewer deaths, so global population remains on track.
What options are open to them to reduce the damage to their system of industrial production? The peak happened in late 2018, and we got COVID lckdowns.
Can you think of anything other than drastically cutting births and bringing most of the future deaths way forward?
How could this be done without destroying the industrial economy? There is no way to rebuild it from scratch now.

A Midwestern Doctor , The Forgotten History of Sterilizing Vaccines
[Meaning "vaccines that prevent people from having children" in this context.]
Giving poor women in South & Central America and Africa tetanus vaccines that would make them infertile through having "spontaneous" abortions was secretive research, funded by the WHO and others, and advocated by Bill Gates, until it was discovered and called out, largely by Catholic nuns and clergy. Many of us are aware of that, but not aware of Gardasil having similar effects. Many of us are now aware of decreased fertility after COVID gene-therapy injections, and that the lipid nanospheres concentrate in the ovaries and testes. We are also aware of excess deaths rising in 2021 with vaccines, not in 2020 with COVID.
This excellent research reveals the eugenicist drive to control human populations without consent, the many vaccines, and vaccine-additives which have been shown to do this. Also included are painful human testimonials of women, forcefully vaccinated in school or work, who keep losing babies when they get pregnant.
As detailed in the June 1995 HLI Reports newsletter, when the first reports surfaced in the Philippines that an anti-fertility vaccine had been deployed, health officials at The WHO and Phillipine health agencies categorically denied that their vaccine contained hCG. When confronted with lab test evidence showing the vaccine vials contained hCG as well as laboratory evidence that there were high levels of hCG antibodies in 27 out of 30 women who had been vaccinated, WHO officials started to make excuses ...
..After the widespread outcry against the hCG vaccinations, the WHO backed off and planned “tetanus” vaccination campaigns were cancelled.  In the following years, Bill Gates initiated his campaign to buy out the WHO, and with a 10-billion-dollar investment in 2010 shifted the WHO’s focus much further towards vaccination and fertility control (doing so at the expense of the traditional approaches that had previously greatly improved global public health)...
..After I published this article, one reader left the following commentary that highlights the long term effects on fertility this sterilizing vaccine was able to produce:
"My wife is Kenyan and sometime around 15 years ago, when she was still a teenager, she was forced to take one of those “tetanus” vaccines. She and another student who had refused were cornered in a room and forcibly administered the shot. Nearly every one of her school mates whom she is still in touch with have developed some sort of fertility-related problem, and difficulty bringing a baby to full term. My wife herself has had multiple miscarriages. horribly painful and several weeks-long menstrual cycles, sudden death of the baby in the womb, and more. We have one baby who lived. The doctor who delivered her via emergency C-section said he had never seen anything like it....everything was going wrong, the baby stopped developing early on.....our daughter is now 5 and is normal in every way, but it is a miracle.
The girls from her village who were too poor for school fees were spared the vaccine, and they haven’t had any problem conceiving or giving birth.

Alasdair Macleod , Gold Is Replacing The DollarThe confirmation by Russia that a trade settlement currency for an expanded BRICS is on the agenda at the Johannesburg summit later this month has barely been reported, and even sound money advocates are highly sceptical.
Macleod gives a long and detailed report, with much actuarial analysis, pointing out that Russia and China each have at least 2-3 times the amount of monetary gold necessary to back all of the currency they have created (Not backing bank loans. That's different.)
The US/Fed-system has less than 1/3 enough gold to back official $US (at $2000/oz), if it has what it says, and that gold is not rehypothecated.
(Germany has yet to get all of her physical gold back. "It's complicated.")
...At the very least, if China and Russia’s grand project is to proceed, the renminbi and rouble must be protected from a fiat currency crisis. This is the moment for which the Chinese have been preparing since 1983, and the Russians more recently sparked by western sanctions. They at least have sufficient bullion available to cover their narrow money supply with ample margins and are the two largest nations by goldmine output. A move towards gold backing of other currencies is likely to prove more difficult, because of the shortage of monetary gold due to the double counting of reserves through leasing and swaps. The only solution for many of the BRICS attendees in Johannesburg later this month will be to piggy-back on China’s yuan though a currency board relationship. The rest of the world faces the grim prospect of being ensnared in a widespread fiat currency collapse with no visible escape.

Eleni sent this from Alastair Crooke, about unexamined assumptions of military dominance.
The 2006 war on Lebanon: A pilot for Re-setting the Military Balance?
What was so revolutionary? Well, western states were accustomed to complete domination of the airspace. It had allowed them to fly where they wanted, when they wanted, as they wanted. Hezbollah had no air force. And none in the Resistance world had an answer to this hard fact.
But Hezbollah and Iran did conceive an answer: Their ‘Air Force’ was to be simple-to-manufacture missiles produced in quantity, and dispersed widely in concealed launch sites (i.e. there was never to be a central airbase to the missile force that could be destroyed). It worked -- missiles and drones have become ubiquitous, as the answer to conventional air power.
It had a secondary benefit, too. The West, habituated to the Air Dominance paradigm, did not bother much with investing in air defenses, on the assumption that their airspace dominance would allow them instantly to destroy any non-western Air Force. However the missile/drone approach, of course, facilitated a concomitant focus on air defense missiles, in parity with ground missiles. Today, it is Russia that has the world’s most advanced air defense layered systems (the US lags far behind).
Secondly, Hezbollah had pioneered ‘deep-study’ intelligence principles. As Western (and Israeli) Intel slumped into lazy reliance on the hubristic conviction that the Western sphere was the lucky inheritor of a superior cultural DNA, so Israeli Intelligence just could not believe that they had got their analysis so wrong.

I have had to pay a lot of attention to military history recently, and developing military tactics, which are evolving in this Ukraine war. There are lots of little cheap drones taking out Russian armored vehicles and hitting Russian troops, which are a form of air-power, as above. Russia has much more advanced drones, bigger, more accurate, more destructive, but hitting an armored vehicle with any drone usually takes it out of the fight. The kind of air-superiority NATO had after Vietnam cannot really go up against Russian anti-aircraft missiles. Piloted airplanes are very expensive, and increasingly vulnerable, even at long distances. The drones taking out shipping are cheap, sometimes made out of jet-skis, for instance.
People are easier and easier to kill with mass produced technology, which can be made cheaper and cheaper. At the same time, poisons of various kinds, especially mandatory "vaccines", present a new arena of population-reduction, enabling a vast theft of benefits and property.

Because war is like on TV and movies. Moon of Alabama (Germany) has this story about American perceptions in propaganda-reality. Thanks Christine.
Three Polls On Support For The War In Ukraine
There are new polls out which show the changing opinion of U.S. citizens and others about supporting the war in Ukraine.
Newsweek came first, with a very deceiving headline:
U.S. Troops Should be Sent to Ukraine, Third of Americans Say

The text describing the poll does not really support what the headline says:
A total of 31 percent of eligible voters in the U.S. support or strongly support American military forces heading to the battlefields of Ukraine, polling conducted exclusively for Newsweek by Redfield & Wilton Strategies has revealed.
A quarter of respondents neither supported nor opposed the idea of sending U.S. soldiers to Ukraine, with 34 percent against the suggestion. Just under one in ten respondents did not know.
Can anyone tell me why one would put the losing share of the opinion poll into the headline?
What is surprising, at least to me, is the huge difference of opinions between the young and the older voters:
In the poll, those identified as "Millennial," between 27 and 42 years old, were most likely to "strongly support" committing U.S. troops to Ukraine. However, more respondents aged between 18-26 (Gen Z) said they would support the measure overall, 47 percent saying they supported or strongly supported sending U.S. troops.
Nearly a third of respondents aged over 59 said they opposed pledging U.S. troops to Ukraine, with a further 25 percent "strongly" opposing the suggestion...

..The CNN poll seem to contradict the one by Newsweek on the most important question:
When asked specifically about types of assistance the US could provide to Ukraine, there is broader support for help with intelligence gathering (63%) and military training (53%) than for providing weapons (43%), alongside very slim backing for US military forces to participate in combat operations (17%).
There is a strong partisan divide about supporting the war:
[just with other people's money]
Within both parties, there are splits by ideology. On providing additional funding, liberal Democrats are far and away the most supportive, 74% back it compared with 51% of moderate or conservative Democrats. Among Republicans, about three-quarters of conservatives oppose new funding (76%) compared with 61% of moderate or liberal Republicans.
Independents mostly say the US has done enough to help Ukraine (56%) and that they oppose additional funding (55%).

Less than a day after a sea drone hit a Russian warship near the Kerch strait, there is this attack on a privately owned fuel tanker, though it is carrying fuel to Syria under Russian military contract. This will raise insurance rates very high, potentially eliminating Black Sea transport.
Russian Tanker Hit By Ukrainian Sea Drones, Likely With Help From US Intelligence

About 6 weeks ago Wagner PMC owner Prigozhin alluded to Wagner moving somewhere on August 5, which was yesterday. I have been looking out for where that might be. Wagner forces remain in Belarus, training Belarusian soldiers and providing a threat & deterrence to Poland.
Simplicius has a video of a large Russian military transport landing in Naimey, the capital of Niger, with a story that Wagner has been asked to help militarily, as it had helped Mali and Burkina Faso, now independent of French neocolonialism after their nationalist coups. RT has that story, also.
The US has cut financial aid, but not grain to Niger, and is still short of calling for a military invasion. ECOWAS, a regional alliance, including Mali, Burkina Faso and Nigeria, is split on doing imperial bidding. Mali and Burkina Faso side with Niger, commiting to military defense. Other member militaries devised an intervention plan, but the Nigerian Senate has voted it down, so the situation is tense, but undecided. The US has stated that  Wagner intervention would constitute a Russian invasion, but Wagner might already be quietly in place, might not need to do anything but prepare, and every country in the area has seen the efficacy of their military, and has found them more reasonable and effective than French mercenaries, which have left the region, out-competed by Wagner.

Alastair Crooke, Thanks again, Eleni , Can Netanyahu re-position strategically? Is it even feasible?
“Netanyahu’s government is extremist; a threat to US-Israeli relations – and Netanyahu is its ‘accomplice’,” Biden suggests.
Prominent Israeli figures in the anti-Netanyahu camp say openly:  “A military coup is underway in Israel. This is the unvarnished truth. At the same time, there is an attempt to play with words in order to avoid looking the reality in the eye”.
Veteran commentator, Gideon Levy, however paints in different colours:
“This is (also) the story of an army that had a state. Along came a government that acted to overturn the orders of the government, in the army’s state - whereupon the army rose in protest against the government. Even in the wake of the spectacular march to Jerusalem, whose likes have never been seen here before - there is no mistaking the protest’s militaristic character, which overshadows its civilian foundations”.
Against this threatening backdrop, why ever would Netanyahu not look around for support from elsewhere? ...
..Netanyahu heads a ‘Settler’ government that is aggressively expanding the settlements, contrary to formal agreements with the US. What is more, the Settler faction plans not just an increase – but a massive increase of the settlements across the West Bank. And the West Bank is boiling.
Just to be clear, disallowing settlement expansion has been the US’ ‘Red Line’ for the last 23 years. There are many agreements in this respect. It is at bottom, America’s principal gesture toward the Palestinians -- halting the gobbling up of the West Bank. Washington cannot afford to turn a blind eye because there is no political process otherwise on offer to Ramallah...
..The flow and direction of the Region are as plain as a pikestaff. To which sphere would Netanyahu think to hitch the Israeli ‘wagon’?  To remain as the isolated Western outlier, protruding into a consolidated Eurasian mega economic and security bloc, or try to go with the Russia axis (that he knows well, and with which he has good relations) and be on the right side of history?
If only politics were so rational! Should Netanyahu survive the coup d’état being mounted against him, his path will likely end in tragedy --because that is his nature. He has no choice but for it to happen, because it is his nature to say one thing to one interlocutor, and flatly assert the direct opposite to another; it is in his nature to be indecisive; to postpone action, and to tergiversate, until events ultimately become the solvent that ‘undoes’ him.

Ben Davidson makes 5 points on the periodic reversal of earth's magnetic poles, currently underway.

Ben Davidson explains his read on the rotation of damage to the sun-facing side of the planet during recurring micronova  events, which coordinate with magnetic pole shifts, and are induced by the recurring waves of the galactic current sheet passing through our solar system on a roughly 12,000 year cycle. (I am not reassured that he has any reason to be so sure of the orderly progression of what part of the planet will be facing the micronovaflas, which will be followed after some lag (12 hrs?) by the impact of the exploded accretion shell.) He further explains lightning induction by cosmic rays, and ozone depletion.

Opposing Neocolonialism

 Disinformed,

Brook Delorme reviews: 'One Idea to Rule Them All' by Michelle Stiles
Michelle Stiles is reverse engineering American propaganda. You will learn the many techniques of legal mind control.

Stiles outlines the history following World War One, reminding us that there was a brief and futile pushback against the use of propaganda by the government against the people.[5]The Institute for Propaganda Analysis was formed in 1938, dedicated to protecting democracy from the threat of propaganda. (Spoiler: it failed.) But this Institute identified seven main techniques of propaganda, most still widely in use today:
1.     Name Calling: A device to discredit an opponent without refuting his claim.
2.     Glittering Generalities: A device that identifies a position with “virtue” by use of words like truth, freedom, democracy, liberty, etc.
3.     Transfer: An appeal which seeks to carry over the authority, sanction, or prestige of something we respect.
4.     Testimonial: A device to use the opinion of an expert authority for propaganda purposes.
5.     Plain Folks: An appeal to win confidence by appearing to be like the common people being addressed.
6.     Card-Stacking: An appeal that uses under-emphasis or over-emphasis to dodge issues and evade facts.
7.     Band Wagon: An appeal that encourages us to follow the crowd because “Everybody is doing it.”

Candidate Kennedy spent 3 days at the US-Mexico border. One night 300 people came across, all illegally, all checked in. His team talked to all of them. only 2 families were from the Americas.  Children are missing. Families beg for help finding their stolen children. The great majority of these people were flown in from all over the world by cartels, robbed and bused to the border. They would be flown to any US city they requested, without money, and would typically "owe" the cartel money. That money would be collected at their destination by extortion and human slavery, by cartel members. This is big business in recent years, completely organized, and can be stopped. Border Patrol are deeply depressed and suicidal. The Trump fence goes down 6 feet underground to reduce placement of delivery tube systems to pop pods of fentanyl across. All of the fence sections have been lying on the ground unused. Newer fence, flimsier, not going under the ground, has been purchased for installation. (Can't use Trump fence.)   Robert Malone MD reviews Robert Kennedy Jr's new book: The Wuhan Cover Up , which is much more than that. It is a history of biowarfare programs.
What is often overlooked by academia, corporate media and the Washington DC political caste is that the history of modern biology (particularly microbiology, molecular biology, and virology) and the infectious disease pharmaceutical industry is intimately entwined with the American biowarfare enterprise.
It has been estimated that total Federal expenditures on biowarfare research and development from the end of WW II through to the implementation of the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention (1975) exceeded the costs of the US Nuclear Warfare program during this period, and this biowarfare program (and funding stream) is intimately linked to academia.  Most of the leaders of the American Society of Microbiology were also leaders in the American DoD/CIA-funded biowarfare program.  This background and context is necessary to understand how the fundamental corruption of academic medicine, peer-reviewed journals, the CDC, FDA, biological and academic research have been so comprehensive, as has been revealed by the COVID crisis.

I have been trying to get a handle on the colonial and anti-colonial power struggles going on in North Africa. These articles each add something to the consideration, but they are very different from each other. The first, sent by Christine, who used to teach university-level Water Law in Egypt, seems to give the clearest regional picture, which is that the Sahel region is breaking away from post-colonial colonialist extraction, and this coup in Niger threatens the export of a lot of high-quality uranium ore, which is of critical interest to France and the EU. This coup matters, but Niger joins several anti-colonial neighbors now.

Niger is the Fourth Country in the Sahel to Experience an Anti-Western Coup , BY VIJAY PRASHAD – KAMBALE MUSAVULI  [Look at the lead photo.]
At 3 a.m. on July 26, 2023, the presidential guard detained President Mohamed Bazoum in Niamey, the capital of Niger. Troops, led by Brigadier General Abdourahmane Tchiani closed the country’s borders and declared a curfew. The coup d’état was immediately condemned by the Economic Community of West African States, by the African Union, and by the European Union. Both France and the United States—which have military bases in Niger—said that they were watching the situation closely. A tussle between the Army—which claimed to be pro-Bazoum—and the presidential guard threatened the capital, but it soon fizzled out. On July 27, General Abdou Sidikou Issa of the army released a statement saying that he would accept the situation to “avoid a deadly confrontation between the different forces which… could cause a bloodbath.” ...
..The coup in Niger follows similar coups in Mali (August 2020 and May 2021) and Burkina Faso (January 2022 and September 2022), and Guinea (September 2021). Each of these coups was led by military officers angered by the presence of French and U.S. troops and by the permanent economic crises inflicted on their countries. This region of Africa—the Sahel—has faced a cascade of crises: the desiccation of the land due to the climate catastrophe, the rise of Islamic militancy due to the 2011 NATO war in Libya, the increase in smuggling networks to traffic weapons, humans, and drugs across the desert, the appropriation of natural resources—including uranium and gold—by Western companies that have simply not paid adequately for these riches, and the entrenchment of Western military forces through the construction of bases and the operation of these armies with impunity...
..A highly informed source in Niger tells us that the reason why the military moved against Bazoum is that “he’s corrupt, a pawn of France. Nigerians were fed up with him and his gang. They are in the process of arresting the members of the deposed system, who embezzled public funds, many of whom have taken refuge in foreign embassies.” The issue of corruption hangs over Niger, a country with one of the world’s most lucrative uranium deposits. The “corruption” that is talked about in Niger is not about petty bribes by government officials, but about an entire structure—developed during French colonial rule—that prevents Niger from establishing sovereignty over its raw materials and over its development.
At the heart of the “corruption” is the so-called “joint venture” between Niger and France called Société des mines de l’Aïr (Somaïr), which owns and operates the uranium industry in the country. Strikingly, 85 percent of Somaïr is owned by France’s Atomic Energy Commission and two French companies, while only 15 percent is owned by Niger’s government. Niger produces over 5 percent of the world’s uranium, but its uranium is of a very high quality. Half of Niger’s export receipts are from sales of uranium, oil, and gold...
..Fourteen former French colonies continued to use the Communauté Financiére Africaine (CFA), which gives immense advantages to France (50 percent of the reserves of these countries have to be held in the French Treasury and France’s devaluations of the CFA—as in 1994—have catastrophic effects on the country’s that use it). In 2015, Chad’s president Idriss Déby Itno said that the CFA “pulls African economies down” and that the “time had come to cut the cord that prevents Africa from developing.” Talk now across the Sahel is for not only the removal of French troops—as has taken place in Burkina Faso and in Mali—but of a break with the French economic hold on the region.
At the 2023 Russia-Africa Summit in July, Burkina Faso’s leader, President Ibrahim Traoré wore a red beret that echoed the uniform of the assassinated socialist leader of his country, Thomas Sankara. Traoré reacted strongly to the condemnation of the military coups in the Sahel, including to a recent visit to his country by an African Union delegation. “A slave that does not rebel does not deserve pity,” he said. “The African Union must stop condemning Africans who decide to fight against their own puppet regimes of the West.”
In February, Burkina Faso had hosted a meeting that included the governments of Mali and Guinea. On the agenda is the creation of a new federation of these states. It is likely that Niger will be invited into these conversations.

Drago Bosnic has this, French invasion of Niger could turn into all-out Franco-African war
To make matters worse for France, Algeria has joined the chorus of Niger's allies. The French archrival that spearheaded the independence of many of its "former" colonies in the 1960s is effectively an African superpower, heavily armed and highly motivated to never allow Paris or any other Western (neo)colonial power to establish a firm foothold in the region. This still leaves Chad as the only viable option for an invasion, as the country was an instrumental staging ground for virtually all French military operations in the area, including the illegal invasion of Libya. However, reaching Chad at this point is easier said than done and this still leaves most of the geopolitical issues unresolved. Also, all geographical considerations remain.
Namely, the Nigerien capital of Niamey is located in the southwestern corner of the country, close to the border with Burkina Faso. Thus, even in the unlikely case that none of its neighbors intervene, Niger is still left with a comfortable window of opportunity to resist the invasion. This could end in a disaster for France, as yet another military defeat in the area would inevitably lead to a complete collapse of the neocolonial system it left in place in the 1960s. On the other hand, if Paris doesn't intervene, this will happen anyway, albeit at a somewhat slower pace.

Andrew Korybko , The West Wants Nigeria to Invade Its Northern Neighbor
It’s expected that maximum pressure will be exerted on Nigeria by the West behind the scenes over the coming week ahead of ECOWAS’ ultimatum expiring. France and the US recognize the threat that the patriotic military coup in Niger poses to their hegemonic interests, which is why they’re ready to pull out all the stops in reversing this possibly game-changing development. For all its potential, Nigeria has largely failed to liberate itself from Western influence, hence why it’s likely to do their bidding...
Chadian Interim President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno traveled to the Nigerien capital of Niamey on Sunday to hold talks with the junta, though it’s unclear at the time of this analysis’ publication what the outcome was. His country is a regional military powerhouse whose armed forces could potentially participate in any operation that ECOWAS launches against Niger despite not being a member of that bloc. At the same time, however, there are reasons why it might not do so.
This traditional French ally failed to fall for the US’ information warfare provocation earlier this year falsely claiming that Russia was plotting to kill its interim leader. Instead of expelling that country’s ambassador, it kicked the German one out instead after discovering that he was trying to stir up Color Revolution unrest.
Shortly after, “Bloomberg Demanded That Biden Meddle In Chad On The Pretext Of Averting A Sudanese Scenario”. Accordingly, Chad might nowadays be reluctant to do the West’s bidding.
Its unexpected multipolar drift in recent months, which most recently saw the Chadian Foreign Minister travel to Russia for last week’s summit in defiance of intense Western pressure upon his country to boycott the event, could explain why its President is leading diplomatic efforts to defuse this latest crisis. At the same time, however, it still can’t be ruled out that Western pressure might prove too much and Chad is ultimately coerced into participating in a potential ECOWAS invasion of neighboring Niger.
Regardless of whatever role Chad may or may not play in that scenario, nothing can realistically happen unless Nigeria agrees to lead the invasion.

Andrew Korybko, West Africa Is Gearing Up For A Regional War
The latest events don’t inspire confidence that a wider war in West Africa can be averted, which is why everyone should brace themselves for one breaking out sometime later this month. If NATO-backed and Nigerian-led ECOWAS doesn’t swiftly defeat the newly formed Sahelian Coalition of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger (with Guinea possibly joining them in some capacity), then Russia is expected to tangibly support the latter, thus leading to a New Cold War proxy conflict in which Chad could be the kingmaker.   [France seemed to be planning for war, building military hospitals, announced in late winter. I wondered why.]
Last week’s patriotic military coup in Niger, which was carried out in response to the prior regime’s failure to ensure its citizens’ security in the face of rising terrorist threats, is quickly turning into the catalyst for what could soon become a regional war in West Africa.

More Andrew Korybko ,  It’s Likely That Algeria Will Play An Important Role If West Africa Descends Into War
Security and ideological interests account for why the Algerian Chief of Staff just flew to Moscow. His country wants to coordinate with its strategic partner in responding to this regional crisis as well as the wider war that might soon break out. While Algeria’s role isn’t as important as Nigeria’s could be in leading the NATO-backed ECOWAS invasion of Niger nor Chad’s in possibly being the kingmaker, it’s still pretty significant and shouldn’t be ignored or downplayed...
..NATO supports a Nigerian-led ECOWAS invasion to reinstall Niger’s ousted leader while Russia backs Burkina Faso and Mali, which have de facto merged into a federation and jointly announced that any attack on that neighboring nation will be regarded as a declaration of war against both of them. Those two are trilaterally cooperating with Guinea, which is also under military rule like they are and just threw its political weight behind the Nigerien junta, but it’s unclear whether it’ll militarily defend it too.

On Thursday evening The Washington Post published an op-ed by the ousted president of Niger, Mohamed Bazoum, calling on the United States and the "entire international community" to intervene in order to restore him to power, and return the country to constitutional order.
He also stated in the Washington Post that he was writing "as a hostage", at a moment unrest has persisted in the streets, following his overthrow by the military last Friday (and by his own presidential guard).
Earlier in the day the junta declared the formal withdrawal of Niger's ambassadors from France, the US, Nigeria and Togo. There are now growing fears of an alliance between Niger's military and Russia's Wagner Group, which has a significant presence across West Africa and elsewhere on the continent.

Biden to Ask Congress to Include Military Aid for Taiwan in Next Ukraine War Spending Bill
The White House is expected to submit the request this month
According to Financial Times, including the Taiwan aid with the Ukraine spending bill could help win over support from Republicans who have opposed supporting the proxy war against Russia. Many Republicans who are against arming Ukraine say the US should be focused on arming Taiwan instead. “Adding supplemental funding for Taiwan will put some House Republicans in a more difficult position since many who oppose Ukraine funding remain in favor of supporting Taiwan.”

US President Joe Biden intends to ask Congress to finance arming Taiwan as part of the supplemental budget for Ukraine
In mid-July, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley said that the United States and its allies should accelerate weapons deliveries to Taiwan to improve the island's defense capabilities. According to Milley, Taiwan's primary needs are air defense and equipment that can strike maritime targets from the ground. He added that the US is considering options to change the location of its contingent in the Asia-Pacific region.

Meryl Nass MD has this: Is there a depopulation agenda at work? The (Catholic) LifeSite News summarized a recent talk about this by Robert Malone.
In a speech at the 2023 White Coat Summit, Dr. Robert Malone asked the crucial question about the so-called COVID vaccines:
“Why would a government wish to advance this technology?”
His reluctant conclusion is that the novel mRNA injections have been developed by the CIA to assist in a global depopulation program – which has existed in the United States since the 1970s.

More childhood vaccines are correlated with higher infant and early childhood mortality. It appears to be causal. Peter McCullough MD
Now an analysis by Miller, et al, suggests the entire program of hyper vaccination may be backfiring.
The two main independent variables in this analysis restricted to developed countries at two time points 2019 and 2021 (check for internal validity) were the number of vaccines given in the 28 day neonatal period (none, hepatitis B, Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) for tuberculosis) and then the overall number of shots given before age 1 year. The outcome variable was all cause mortality at age 1 and 5 years.
As you can see this does not look good for vaccines. In every analysis the children who went “natural” with no shots did the best and there was a trend for the fewest number of injections to be associated with the lowest mortality.

Neocolonialism And LK-99

Miscellaneous Assets,

Pepe Escobar presents: Syria: a tale of plunder and resurrection

While the wholesale theft of Syria's natural resources continues under the watch of illegal US troops, the Russian project of resurrecting ISIS-destroyed Palmyra stands as a stark reminder that ruins can rise again.

The war on Syria has vanished from the collective West ethos. Yet it’s far from finished. Multitudes across the Global Majority may feel the deepest empathy towards Syrians while acknowledging not much can be done while the Western Minority refuses to leave the stage...
..Under the lame excuse of “degrading the position for ISIS,” the US State Department de facto admits that the Empire’s illegal occupation of a third of Syria - the part rich in oil and minerals currently being stolen/smuggled – will persist, indefinitely...
..As if the non-stop looting of oil was not enough, the Pentagon keeps dispatching truckloads of ammo and logistical equipment to Hasakah...

..According to Damascus, Syria’s energy sector as a whole was robbed by an astonishing $107 billion between 2011 and 2022 by a toxic mix of US occupation, “coalition” bombing, and theft or looting by terrorist and separatist gangs.
There are no less than a dozen US military bases in Syria – some bigger than the proverbial lily pads (less than 10 acres, valued at less than $10 million), all of them de facto illegal and certainly not recognized by Damascus. The fact that 90 percent of Syria’s oil and gas is concentrated east of the Euphrates in areas controlled by the US and its Kurdish proxies makes Empire’s job much easier.
The de facto occupation hits not only energy-rich areas but also some of Syria’s most fertile agricultural lands. The net result has been to turn Syria into a net importer of energy and food. Iranian tankers routinely face Israeli sabotage as they ship much-needed oil to Syria’s eastern Mediterranean coast...

..The prospects for Syrian reconstruction are slim without expelling the western marauders. That will have to happen via detailed, concerted cooperation between Russian forces, the Syrian Arab Army, and the IRGC’s Quds Force units...

..Countering so much doom and gloom, something nearly magical happened on July 23. Six years after the liberation of Palmyra – the legendary Silk Road oasis – and overcoming all sorts of bureaucratic hassles, the restoration of this pearl in the desert has finally started...

..Russian specialists unearthed and reset the ancient source of Efka, which used to irrigate the gardens of Palmyra since the Bronze Age.
They also managed to find the Roman aqueduct that once fed Palmyra with potable water, 12 km away from the city. The Romans had dug a tunnel of nearly human size, then covered it in stone, and the ensemble was buried. It was found nearly intact...

..Plans for Palmyra include the restoration of the legendary theater before the end of 2023. The restoration of the arch, blown up with dynamite by ISIS, will take two years. The 1st century AD temple of Bel and other historical infrastructure will be restored...

..Of course, the restoration of Syria as a whole is an enormous challenge.

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) said Monday that his country would attend talks on Ukraine that are set to be held in Saudi Arabia this weekend only if Russia is invited.
“If there’s acceptance from both Ukraine and Russia to look for solutions to achieve peace, we’ll participate,” Lopez Obrador said, according to Reuters. “We don’t want the Russia-Ukraine war to continue, it’s very irrational … The only thing that benefits from it is the war industry.”

The Hegemon Begins to Unravel , Simplicius (briefly summarized)
There has been a military coup in Niger, which provides 25% of EU uranium, and up to 40% of French uranium. The coup leders have halted uranium and gold exports, presumably to negotiate a better deal with French companies. Burkina Faso and Mali have said that any military intervention would be treated as an act of war upon their neighbor.
There are rumors of Russia being "behind" this, but it is only necessary for Russia to be a regional friend of Africa, as just demonstrated at the Russia-Africa summit, where free grain was pledged and vast debts forgiven. The timing is notable...
China has restriced germanium and gallium exports, critical silicon-doping agents for semiconductor production, which will potentially choke new Amercan chip plant production. China and Russia are working together to restrict critical components of the global production chain. It is hypothesized that restricting uranium from Niger is an assymetric response to the Nordstream pipeline destruction by US/NATO last year.
What is clearly different is that fear of western financial sanctions is fading away, and fear of western military intervention is very much diminished. Landlocked Niger has clearly considered this, and has neighborhood support.
Consider the debacle in Afghanistan, which was to be answered by bleeding Russia white in Ukraine, and choking the Russian economy into submission and revolt. It is doing the opposite.
A successful denial of uranium to France/EU-NATO by Niger would be an example to other countries, which have had their resources cheaply extracted by neo-colonialism to force negotiations for better deals, reducing globalist profits. It is globalism, after-all, which is the pervasive enemy of small nations, and now the citizens of larger nations, as well.
An update of the Ukraine-War follows, with details of the meat-grinding and equipment-grinding war of attrition, which is still much more destructive for Ukraine than for Russian/Novorussian forces. Summer progresses towards September mud. There has been great loss of life, but the lines remain where they were.
The end of the year, and armistice negotiations will follow that. Who can/will negotiate for the non-Russian side?

Gilbert Doctorow has depth and subtlety regarding Niger: Russia and the military putsch in Niger

This evening’s edition of Sixty Minutes offered an interesting perspective on the military putsch in Niger: that it followed directly from the principles of anti-colonialism which were the overriding theme of the just concluded Russia-Africa Summit in St Petersburg. What they did not say, but I will consider here, is whether there is more than just an idea nurtured in Russia to explain what is going on in Niger and its neighbors today. Is there a helping hand? ...

..Meanwhile the leaders of the coup accuse the former colonial power France of plotting their overthrow. Export of uranium, the main strategic commodity that binds France to this country has been suspended.
Niger happens to represent 5% of the world’s supply of uranium and accounts for a much higher percentage, perhaps 50% of French needs for its nuclear power plants. This assumes a pan-European importance given the key position France occupies in Europe’s overall power generation from nuclear fuels...
..Western analysts have said that France and Europe have enough reserves of uranium to cover power generation needs in the short term. However, in the medium and long term that becomes more problematic...
..A couple of days ago, the Economic Community of West African States, headed by Nigeria, demanded that the constitutional authorities be reinstated in Niger within a week, threatening to take action by force if necessary.  This prompted Niger’s neighbors Mali and Burkino Faso to warn ECOWAS and any others considering intervening in Niger that they would come to the defense of the leaders of the putsch. The military forces of these two countries are not inconsiderable...
...Both countries, the FT reminds us, also have leaders who came to power by coup d’état. However, it is just a question of days before the FT sees what I do in front of our noses:  both Mali and Burkino Faso have close relationships with Russia and are well attuned to the anti-colonial message coming from the Kremlin.
Mali has over the past year booted out French security forces and replaced them with Wagner Group
mercenaries. Burkino Faso was named last week as one of the five neediest African countries which will receive between 25,000 and 50,000 tons of Russian wheat free of charge.
And so, while Russia may have puny economic investments and trade in Africa compared to Europe, it is hitting well above its weight in the geopolitical power game even now, before it implements its ambitious plans for Soft Power projection outlined at the Summit.
In closing, it is worth mentioning that Russian news today also speaks about the start of negotiations with several North African states which participated in the Summit to arrive at free trade agreements.

Robert Kennedy Jr. presents his policies to restore the American middle class.
There is something not directly addressed here, wich is that the "price" of the $US is sustained partly through its necessity (declining) to purchase oil internationally, partly through its role as a reserve-currency, held in quantity to protect a national currency from speculative attacks, such as caused the Asian Economic Crisis, and partly through its greater than zero return on investment for global financial elites. This return on investment is more than can be sustained through industrial and infrastructure returns. It must be aid through wealth extraction of existing companies, and through bubble-valuations of stocks and other investments. This return on $US investments bleeds productive economy, and blows speculative bubbles which will eventually do what happened in 2008, but irreversibly, since the causes have been exacerbated, not remediated.
RFK Jr.: Here are some of the things I’ll do as President to improve the lives of the middle segment of society.
Renegotiate free trade agreements and impose compensatory tariffs on imports from low-wage countries.
Rein in military spending. A family of four’s share of current defense spending is at least $10,000 a year. Imagine if that money was devoted to free childcare or child tax credits.
Cut healthcare costs with Medicare-for-all, restrict pharmaceutical companies’ profiteering, and redirect a portion of medical research toward inexpensive natural, holistic, and alternative therapies.
Implement some form of student debt relief. Allow student debt to be dischargeable in bankruptcy. Cut interest rates on student loans to zero.
Raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour – about the level it was in 1968 – which will raise the floor on all wages and return a share of productivity growth back to workers.
Close loopholes and tighten enforcement against illegal corporate union-busting activity.

Yields Surge After Treasury Boosts Auction Sizes More Than Expected, Sees Debt Issuance Tsunami On Deck
The US predicted a near-record $1 trillion in debt sales in the current quarter (up from $$733BN forecast previously) and $852 billion in Oct-Dec quarter, numbers so staggering they are usually associated with economic crises.

Worst US Treasury debt-risk since 2009. At some point the US will have to nationalize the banking system, including the "Federal Reserve".
Fitch’s downgrade of US sovereign debt tells us little we don’t already know about the US’s deteriorating fiscal outlook, explaining the muted reaction from Treasuries and the dollar.
Fitch cited the rising total debt load, ongoing issues with debt-ceiling standoffs, and the possibility of a recession as reasons behind its downgrade.

Jacob Siegal, linked by Meryl Nass MD: Digital oligarchs have weaponised the banks . Corporate behemoths are adopting the Chinese approach
The debanking of Nigel Farage demonstrates the power of a law that is already being enforced without having been formalisedFound guilty of crimes by state censors, secret committees of bureaucrats, or inscrutable algorithms, individuals can be disconnected and de-personed by institutions that they didn’t realise possessed such powers. Today it is banks terminating customers for their beliefs; tomorrow it may be primary schools and hospitals. The powerful consensus that once upheld the neutrality of key institutions as essential to maintaining peace in liberal societies is collapsing.
Belief in the value of neutrality was a hard-won product of bourgeoisie political revolutions and religious wars. Having lasted for centuries, it is teetering today under attack from two directions. On one side, a brand of political activism condemns the very idea of remaining neutral
as being a cover for subjugation and exploitation. In this view, the passive act of not denying someone banking services is recast as an affirmative endorsement of their entire political outlook. Simultaneously, digital networks are thrusting formerly apolitical institutions into the general arena of public surveillance, where failure to affirm new ideological mantras is seen as an act of treason against the whole system...
[globalist, neoliberal neo-bolshevism]
..Ultimately, the driver of this new social reality is not radical activism but the power of the tech monopoliesMoralistic fervour is burning away centuries of tradition, leaving the digital oligarchs to claim the new territory. The world we are living in is the one they have authored. In the same way that railroads once changed the world by collapsing physical distances, social media has collapsed the spaces that once differentiated private from public, as well as separating institutional spheres of power. Thus financial disconnection can be used as a tactic of warfare against Russia as well as a domestic tool in every country where digital networks predominate.
In the US, the unprecedented coordination between the various sectors of the "counter-disinformation complex", which includes the media, intelligence agencies, non-profits, and universities, testifies to the same principle at work. Connected by a lattice of digital networks, they reinforce the same belief system while wielding their power to attack people accused of wrongthink and spreading disinformation. Political censorship and financial disconnection are two sides of the same coin.
Today, organisations such as the World Economic Forum and World Bank are promoting global digital IDs as a progressive cause to help lift “unbanked” people out of poverty. Their solution would herd billions of people into globalised surveillance databases where their every transaction, movement, and sentiment can be monitored and analysed. If the spread of debanking shows that the danger today comes from an interconnected digital web reaching into the foundations of privacy and neutrality, the response of the global elite is to insist we build a bigger bank.

Elon Musk's "X" has filed a lawsuit against the pro-censorship group, Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), which it has accused of "actively working to assert false and misleading claims encouraging advertisers to pause investment on the platform."
"X is a free public service funded largely by advertisers," reads a Monday night Twitter blog entry. "Through the CCDH's scare campaign and its ongoing pressure on brands to prevent the public’s access to free expression, the CCDH is actively working to prevent public dialogue."
X also claims that "the CCDH has recently scraped X's platform, which is a violation of our terms of service."
Continued:
That’s why X has filed a legal claim against the CCDH and its backers. X not only rejects all claims made by the CCDH, but, through our own investigation, we have identified several ways in which the CCDH is actively working to prevent free expression. That includes:
Targeting people on all platforms who speak about issues the CCDH doesn’t agree with.
Attempting to coerce the deplatforming of users whose views do not conform to the CCDH's ideological agenda.
Targeting free-speech organizations by focusing on their revenue stream to remove free services for people.
Attempting to illegally gain unauthorized access to social media platform data and to misuse that data.

LK-99 is a purported room temperature superconductor, devised by a team in Korea, continuing the work of their deceased mentor. It is primarily composed of lead, phosphorous and copper, nothing rare. It has been recreated by a team in China. ILK-99 may or may not quite be a superconductor, but behaves that way as a small flake, partly levitated by a magnet. Alternatively, it may be a completely novel form of semiconductor. This may revolutonize power circuitry, electric (and maglev) trains, computing, and may eventually enable nuclear fusion magnetic containment devices to be made commercially.

Something is giving Ben Davidson an acute sense of urgency regarding the approaching solar-micronova event, which should coincide with the accelerating magnetic polar excursion and magnetic field decay which earth is experiencing. He states that it is coming within a year, but does not prove that.
By the electromagnetic-universe model which Ben uses and refines, the vast galactic current sheet sweeps across our solar system about every 12,000 years, inducing magnetic field changes upon the earth, sun and other planets, and brining dust, which may deposit upon the sun.
Magnetic field and current changes, and deposition of material upon a star, can induce micronova eruptions, which eject high energy debris and particles.
There is evidence that this has periodically happened to earth, and some of the evidence is isotopic. There is no other way for isotopes associated with nova events to have arrived at earth and to have been distributed widely in geologic strata, since they would decay in the time required to arrive from any distant event.

Also covered in the second video is preparations to take for this, especially food and water, but also fuel, and things that would be needed to survive for a year without economic support.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2pM7MBVXlk

The third video looks at the effects of cosmic rays on earth's mesosphere when the magnetic fields are much reduced and the rays enter the atmosphere, causing cascades of charged particles to be formed, creating super-lightning, and destroying ozone, so that ultraviolet rays also penetrate to the surface. This appears to have caused species extinctions and massive human losses in prior such events.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEZNyfoOPeg
