Not First In Line

Reluctant Adopters

I'm lifting this essay from my reply to a comment, because it seems timely:

Thanks for laying out this argument that some of the owners-of-the-human-herd might be intellectually advanced. I agree, and you don't see it expounded much.
There are difficulties and paradoxes confronting elites as they try to manage the complexities of Industrial-Economy with Apex-Predation-Ecosystem-Management.
Social Darwinism seemed so obvious and logical 100 -150 years ago, but there were complications in practice, such as what "Long Term Reproductive Fitness" might ACTUALLY mean over 100 years of suddenly changing ecosystems. It means different things in growth than it does in contraction-shocks and austere periods.
Elites do want to take Kissinger's counsel and "control the food to control the people". There are layers of control and a few escape hatches for the foresightfulGlobalist elites won't control well-prepared Mormons nearly as soon as they will control people who only eat fast food, for instance.
Like you, I think the global elites are fairly-ok with that form of culling. People who are controlled on a short-provision-leash led by little screens will be rapidly culled, even unintentionally culled by foreseeable breakdowns in mass communications, as may arise from war and Carrington events. Some of this group will choose to be various kinds of soldiers or gang members, with high attrition rates.
Most people everywhere try to stay towards the middle of the herd and don't think outside of that or prepare for periods without public utilities.
I am personally screwed without gas and water, though I can get by without electricity. I have the intention to repair a fiberglass water tank to collect roof runoff. There is not a reliable underground water source to tap around Yoakum.  Cooking and heating fuel is so important, yet invisible due to its ubiquity. I have no wood stove and also no wood.
The original European settlers here all used cisterns, or lived near a river. The early settlers here got by on hunting wild game and growing potatoes for a decade or so, while getting farms established. They were already farmers, fleeing the mid 19th century wars in Germany and Bohemia (Czechia).
Growing up farming prepares one to be a farmer. You can't, I'm told, become a farmer otherwise, because the work is too much, relentless, critically timed, fails sometimes, and barely supports survival. City and town people can't even understand that, let alone pull it off for a year. I only have an intellectual comprehension, and insights from vegetable gardening. I did live on my grandfather's cattle ranch from 13 to 15 years of age. I see the picture, but I am not a farmer or rancher.
Farmers and ranchers are controlled and bled by bankers, of course. However, bankers can't make any fresh farmers or ranchers. How will elites get farmers and ranchers to have big families again? Can they in the west, or do they need to keep importing farmers and ranchers from the countries whose farms/ranches they are destroying with commercial agribusiness? There are only so many grown-up-farm-kids in the word to strip-mine.
Bill Gates wants robot-farming as far as the eye can see. Robots don't have big families. It's a dead end, but it suits his purposes...
"Bloodline families" and Chinese rulers take a longer view down the centuries. Chinese rulers have strip-mined their traditional farmers in our lifetimes, though not completely...
Trying to steer people into using less oil because of climate-change didn't work out, but it did encourage certain research. I have to suspect the battery buildout is more to serve D.U.M.B.s, Making electric vehicles just got batteries up to that kind of production scale. There are a lot of things that seem like wasteful diversions of limited fuel resources, if one does not consider their potential secret applications.
Falling for the lie that it is to save-the-planet-through-consumerism may get you culled, even driving a Tesla.
The elites are setting up survival hoops for herd-members to jump through, which may favor competent independently-thinking and acting groups. (Hi again, Mormons!)
The elites have a big blind spot, thinking they are "fit". The bloodlines and Chinese elites may have a better perspective than Mr. Gates does. They will eventually sacrifice him, or just wait for him to die, which will be soon enough. (Will Son-of-Soros carry down the lineage?)
I personally think that the earth may throw in magnetic-polar-shift-with-solar-micronova at some moment before 2050, though I'm far less certain about the 90 degree rotational axis shift, which may happen sometimes, but not every 12,000 year cycle.  https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHSoxioQtwZcVcFC85TxEEiirgfXwhfsw
Again, there are different factions amongst elites, with different "interests", long term perspectives, and revenue streams. I presume that they will eventually start killing competing elite factions again, once the herds are shrinking.

Chris Hedges: It May be Genocide, But it Won’t Be Stopped
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) refused to implement the most crucial demand made by South African jurists: “the State of Israel shall immediately suspend its military operations in and against Gaza.” But at the same time, it delivered a devastating blow to the foundational myth of Israel. Israel, which paints itself as eternally persecuted, has been credibly accused of committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. Palestinians are the victims, not the perpetrators, of the “crime of crimes.”
..The ICJ ordered Israel to take six provisional measures to prevent acts of genocide, measures that will be very difficult if not impossible to fulfill if Israel continues its saturation bombing of Gaza and wholesale targeting of vital infrastructure.
The court called on Israel “to prevent and punish the direct and public incitement to commit genocide.” It demanded Israel “take immediate and effective measures to enable the provision of urgently needed basic services and humanitarian assistance.” It ordered Israel to protect Palestinian civilians. It called on Israel to protect the some 50,000 women giving birth in Gaza. It ordered Israel to take “effective measures to prevent the destruction and ensure the preservation of evidence related to allegations of acts within the scope of Article II and Article III of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide against members of the Palestinian group in the Gaza Strip.”
The court ordered Israel to “take all measures within its power” to prevent the crimes which amount to genocide such as “killing, causing serious bodily and mental harm, inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part, and imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group.”
Israel was ordered to report back in one month to explain what it had done to implement the provisional measures...
..It is clear from the ruling that the court is fully aware of the magnitude of Israel’s crimes. This makes the decision not to call for the immediate suspension of Israeli military activity in and against Gaza all the more distressing.
But the court did deliver a devastating blow to the mystique Israel has used since its founding to carry out its settler colonial project against the indigenous inhabitants of historic Palestine. It made the word genocide, when applied to Israel, credible.

In a discussion of these developments with Iran’s Press TV earlier today, I was given the opportunity to identify the attention being given to this scandal as intentional distraction away from the real news of the day which continues to be the genocidal activities of Israel in Gaza, with another 165 civilians reportedly murdered yesterday.

This has finally happened. Get the US troops out.  Iran-Backed Groups Kill Three US Troops In Jordan
An overnight drone attack on a US military outpost in northeast Jordan has killed three American troops and left 25 more injured, according to breaking reports Sunday morning.
The outpost, called Tower 22, is located very close to the Syrian border, and the casualty rate is so high as soldiers were reportedly sleeping in tents when the drone struck. By all accounts thus far, the drone appears to have come from Syrian territory.
"President Joe Biden" issued a statement announced the attack on Americans, saying that "radical Iran-backed militant groups" in Syria and Iraq were behind it.
"While we are still gathering the facts of this attack, we know it was carried out by radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq," Biden said. "Have no doubt - we will hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner our choosing."

Ya don't Say?   US Think Tanks: Cost of Biden's Attacks on Houthis May Exceed That of Red Sea Trade Disruption

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Thursday backed Texas in its ongoing battle with the federal government over border authority, criticizing the Biden administration for its handling of the U.S. southern border.
“Texas is right. Biden’s failure to secure the border leaves states no choice but to take matters into their own hands,” Kennedy wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. “As President, I will end this humanitarian crisis once and for all. I will secure the border and destroy the business model of the drug cartels. A country without borders is not a country at all.”

A high ranking CBP official told the network that their relationship with the Guard is “strong”.
“While this issue plays out in the courts, the relationship between Border Patrol, Texas DPS [Department of Public Safety], & TMD [Texas Military Dept.] remains strong,” the official said, adding “Our focus is and will always be the mission of protecting this country and its people.”
“On the ground, we continue to work alongside these valuable partners in that endeavor,” the official continued, adding “Bottom line: Border Patrol has no plans to remove infrastructure (c-wire) placed by Texas along the border.”
“Our posture remains the same. If we need to access an area for emergency response, we will do so. When that happens, we will coordinate with Texas DPS & TMD,” the official further declared.

Obviously losing and may not even know it.  Biden Blackmail Intensifies: Won't Shut Border Until Congress Coughs Up Ukraine, Israel Funds
As Republican governors circle the wagon around Texas, President Biden on Saturday doubled down on a reluctant agreement to secure the southern US border - but only if if Congress passes a bipartisan bill that would also allocate funds for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan, and would still allow as many as 150,000 illegal crossings per month.
"If that bill were the law today I'd shut down the border right now and fix it quickly and bring a bipartisan bill that would be good for America and help fix our broken immigration system and allow speedy access for those who deserve to be here," Biden said.

Charles Hugh Smith comes to a conclusion that can also be reached through many other logical approaches. Too much "rent" is being bled from the real-economy.
There is a generational war underway in the U.S., and to date the young generations have lost and the senior generations have won. In numerous posts over the past 15 years, I have endeavored to compare apples-to-apples to show that the generations that came of age in the 1960s through the 1990s could afford to own a house and raise a family with moderate incomes. This is no longer the case.
Apologists for the status quo disagree, of course, but they are unable to contest an accurate apples-to-apples comparison of the purchasing power of an hour of labor then and now...
..Fortunately, there's an obvious answer staring us in the face: Tax the Casino, by which I mean institute a transaction tax on every transaction of buying, selling or transferring by any means any asset or financial instrument of any nature.
Okay, so the screaming and weeping and gnashing of teeth is even louder now, but after the rational mind once again becomes available for dialog, we can note that a 2% transaction fee on a $1,000 stock purchase is $20. Those who were trading stocks in the 1980s recall that buying $1,000 of stock in a brokerage account cost $54 or more in commission and fees.

  CJ Hopkins , The Verdict
So, my show trial for thoughtcrimes in criminal court in New Normal Germany went pretty well. I was acquitted. Technically, it isn’t all over, because the prosecutor has a week to appeal the decision, but, given the circumstances, I doubt he will. He made a total fool of himself in front of a large audience yesterday. I can’t imagine that he will want to do that again.
I’ll write about my day in court in detail once I’ve slept for week. I’m exhausted. This Kafkaesque mockery of justice has been going for eight months now, and it has been rather stressful.

The Silent Epidemic Eating Away Americans' Minds
Billy would frequently lie and cheat when playing board games or participating in team activities and have full-blown meltdowns when he lost. His friends, who had been with him since kindergarten, began losing patience. His parents recognized that something had to be done.
So Billy’s parents brought him to Dr. Victoria Dunckley, a pediatric psychiatrist specializing in screen use.
After a four-week “screen fast” prescribed by Dr. Dunckley, which eliminated all TVs, phones, and video games, Billy’s problems miraculously cleared up. His parents were so pleased that they decided to maintain the fast.
Six months passed, and Billy’s friends were no longer avoiding him, and his sportsmanship had improved markedly. Billy decided to run for class president and delivered a speech, something that would have previously terrified him...
..The initial link between screen time and poor mental health was spotted through generational studies by Jean Twenge, who has a doctorate in psychology and is a professor of psychology at San Diego State University.

Between 2005 and 2012, the change in rates of depressive episodes in teens aged 12 to 17 barely exceeded 1 percent. However, between 2012 and 2017, there was an almost 4 percent increase...
..In 2008, psychotherapist Tom Kersting, who worked as a school counselor for 25 years, saw a rise in attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) diagnoses in children over age 8. ADHD tends to be detected in early childhood after a child starts school. However, he has witnessed increasingly delayed diagnoses in teenagers and adults...

..The risk-benefit imbalance substantiated by the evidence to date contraindicates further booster injections and suggests that, at a minimum, the mRNA injections should be removed from the childhood immunization program until proper safety and toxicological studies are conducted. Federal agency approval of the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines on a blanket-coverage population-wide basis had no support from an honest assessment of all relevant registrational data and commensurate consideration of risks versus benefits. Given the extensive, well-documented SAEs and unacceptably high harm-to-reward ratio, we urge governments to endorse a global moratorium on the modified mRNA products until all relevant questions pertaining to causality, residual DNA, and aberrant protein production are answered.

Meryl Nass MD, Tedros Talks with forked Tongue. Here's the evidence.
Let's look at a few things he told Agence France Press and The Guardian. What does the draft treaty really say?
..The powers behind the WHO throne knew they could only win if they could outsmart us. And they had the ability to pay for the world’s finest sociopathic lawyers. They had to sneak the bad stuff past us.
One way of doing that is to deny it exists.
Another is to misrepresent what their proposed documents show.
Yet another method is to include contradictory passages in the treaty, and refer back to one claim, without revealing that the opposite claim is also embedded in the treaty.
Another method runs through everything the WHO does. Financial guru Max Keiser coined the perfect term for this: Complexification.

This principle holds true not only in times of adversity but also in periods of economic growth or political stability. The value of these diminutive garden plots extends well beyond their physical dimensions, providing joy, fostering connections, each action a contribution to a unity and possible hopeful blueprint for something larger and local. These local efforts also highlight the contemporary over-dependence on complex technological systems while advocating and modeling a simpler, more self-sufficient ways of living.
